Yea they don;t have quotas but I bet if she did not write a single ticket for the month she would be pulled to the side or checked on.

My grandfather said things were changing when he left the force decades ago. Use to be if you wrote a ticket no thing. But when he was leaving them would make mention of who wrote the most. Who was "not keeping up". etc... and that was 20+ years ago. Current cops I know say it is the same or worse.

Let's say you're a cook at a local fast food joint. At the end of the month your boss tallies up your work and sees that you haven't made one burger all month. You think there'd be a little problem?

WOW!!! So a cops job is to make numbers? Here and I thought it was to serve and protect, not be a ticket machine. But I guess we know what cops really think. Thanks

No, a ticket machine would be the red light camera that nailed you, then you lied about it on ATOT.

No we don't, and the public isn't. There always has been and always will be a segment of society that resents authority.

Espically bad authority that is abused.

But especially any authority that they're on the business end of, be it applied perfectly or not.

I've seen cops lie blatantly in court, under oath! I had an accident and two cops were on the scene. One was white, the other was black. When they testified in court, both were white! I won so their efforts were in vain, but I keep that in mind when the honor of the police force comes to question.

there's rarely any crime in my area. cops give out speeding tickets if you go even 3mph above the speed limit, those this is only if no one else around you is driving "as fast".
