Wait, I thought he escaped on a horse, I thought that was totally awesome and rambo style. So he he actually dead? Guess have to take everything with a grain of salt at this point.

Is there anytime in recent history where cops actually purposely burn someone alive to hide evidence? This seems like a seriously nasty coverup. Here's hoping he somehow got his information out there and it's in some kind of time lock. Maybe he mailed it somewhere and it's on it's way.

after they shot up 2 trucks is it a suprise they would risk a forest fire to make sure he was dead?

What I think happened:

1) Cops/SWAT threw smoke gernades/tear gas into cabin.

2) Dorner sets off bomb/fire as diversion

Yes, you're able to conclude this with the giving information. I'm guessing the people that he stole the vehicle from are fake?

All I'm saying is all the information given out so far is pretty piss poor.

Law enforcement on the scene told firefighters to stay back. This leads me to believe their intentions have gone from bad to worse.

you know that's standard operating procedure when there are armed criminals right?

after they shot up 2 totally innocent vehicles without makeing sure who was in it. i don't think they can go from bad to worse.. i think they were already there.

Maybe he pulled a Skyfall. Burn the house and duck out through a tunnel? That would be epic.

Stay back, as in, don't even attempt to put out the fire. There are ways they could attempt to put out the fire without putting themselves directly in harms way.

All I'm saying is, from the looks of it, they're setting this up so he burns down with the cabin. Doesn't have to end that way.

And what happens if the shooter kills a firefighter?

From what we know...

Dorner's in the cabin
Authorities issue the flight restriction and don't allow news agencies to zoom in past a certain point
Fire starts "unintentionally"
Single gunshot after fire starts
Nobody tries to put out fire

Quite obvious that they want Dorner dead, whether it be revenge, or more likely, they just want him shut up for good. The problems at the LAPD would magically disappear, maybe someone gets canned, but at least they don't have Dorner going into court in what would be a very public trial and being given the opportunity to voice his side of the story in front of a large audience.

It's so much easier if he's dead, for the reasons you stated and also incarceration would be a constant danger. Dude is huge. Targets cops. Can you imagine being the CO assigned to him in prison?
