How would you define "over"? When, in your opinion, would it be ok to go back to normal? Don't say "when everybody is vaccinated" because that is not the question. What needs to be happening, or not happening in hospitals, in society before you think we can lift all restrictions and live like we did before Covid?

We have to beat back the pandemic until it's the same level of threat to public health as the flu. There's the hard way, disease & recovery, or the easy way, a much higher level of vaccination than at present in many parts of the US. That's the real choice, one that requires very little knowledge or research by the individual. The technical details are immaterial & over the heads of most Americans, anyway. There's nothing to understand other than the vaccines being proven safe & effective.

After this Delta wave is over, it will be less of a threat than the flu, most definitely in LA County, but for the most of the country too. No matter how many more people get vaccinated.

I see a lot of eye blinking every year. News/health professionals/work/family are all telling me every year to get the flu shot.

And covid is poised to kill an order of magnitude higher than that every year if vaccines aren't given to the majority of the population.
