Console Loyalty Poll

My friends were of the Xbox->360 camp, I was a turncoat and went PS2->360. I should go even farther back a few more generations of consoles, but this will do for now.

I'm insanely bored at work.

Crap, there's no way to undo/redo your vote, is there?

I misclicked and said I didn't previously own a gamecube. I loved my gamecube >_>

Had a Nintendo. Skipped Super Nintendo. Had a N64. Skipped the Gamecube. Have a Wii.

Had an Xbox. Now have an Xbox 360.

Had/Have a PS2. I won't have a PS3 unless they get some better exclusive titles and the price drops.

Had a Sega Genesis and a Dreamcast.

I own a PS2, and I own a PS3
I own an Xbox, and I own an Xbox 360
I own two Gamecubes, and I own a Wii

I wouldn't say I'm particularly loyal to any of the companies... I just call things like I see them. I have a preference for one console this generation, but its predecessor was not my preferred console last generation (and was actually the last one I bought last generation).

That's a massive kick in the nuts.

I currently have sitting under my TV:

Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360

*shrug*

I'll buy a PS3 when it hits $150.

Yea, the poll doesn't take into account the "I'm freakin' rich" factor.

Nintendo:
had NES, SNES, 64, gamecube, wii(sold it after a year)

Sony:
had a PS, PS2, PS3

MS
had an XBOX(sold it after a little bit), and XBOX 360(sold it after a year to buy PS3)

EDIT:

I'm trying to think of the consoles I have not owned.

I have had:
NES-SNES-Genesis-N64-PS-PS2-XBOX-Gamecube-PS3-XBOX 360-Wii

I have not had:
Sega Saturn-Neo Geo-Dreamcast- I'm trying to think if there were any more(I had an atari, but I'm starting with NES because that is when it really took off).

NES -> SNES -> PS -> PS2 -> Wii & XBox 360
Game Gear -> GBA -> DS lite

I've still got everything but the PS which I sold when I got my PS2.
Although, I really wish I had gotten a GC instead of the PS2.

For me, it is not a question of loyalty. It's a question of what games and features each platform has to offer me and what I can afford.

+1

Owned a PS1, Gamecube, Wii (sold after 3 days), and now Xbox 360.

:laugh: Not rich... two incomes, no kids. This generation is when I really got back into gaming after being a poor college student. I didn't buy the Gamecube until it was $99. Roommate had a PS2 in college, and then I got mine for $129. Xbox was $100 used with several games (from my brother). Second Gamecube was also used.

When we have kids, my gaming expenditures will have to drop.

Here are my console purchased in order, which is funny in some of the cases

Nintendo
NES --> N64 --> GC --> SNES --> Wii
GBA --> GBA SP --> DS --> DS lite

Sega
DC

Sony
PSX/PS1 whatever you want to call it now --> PS2

MS
Xbox --> 360

Personally I don't think it's always a matter of loyalty either, if there are must play exclusives I'm more than likely going to get the console. I don't have a PS3 but don't doubt I will get one in the future, right now personally I don't have any games I really want to play and can only play on the PS3.

I'm not loyal to 360 at all. I just haven't been given a reason to buy a PS3 yet. I'm not into MGS so the closest thing coming out that might persuade me is Gran Turisimo.

WTB good PS3 RPGs.

I'll actually be buying one if Blazeblu, Battle Fantasia, and KOF 12. Are PS3 exclusive or don't come to the states.

I owned a NES, took many years off from console gaming, received a Dreamcast as a birthday gift even though I didn't necessarily want it and got hooked back on console gaming. I then went Xbox to Xbox 360.

I also went from GBA to DS Lite.

Almost bought a Gamecube at one point but put it back down before I got to the register. I'd love to own a PS2, PS3 or Wii as well but just can't justify it.

I've had an NES, SNES, Wii, Sega Master System, Genesis+Sega CD, PlayStations 1;2 and 3, an Xbox and a dreamcast.

I sold the Sega Master system and Xbox due to lack of interest in them... haha, I sold the sega when I was 6yrs old for 5 dollars to my friend.. my mom gave me a whuppin and made me go get it back.

oh and I had the OG 2 color (green and darker green) Gameboy... as well as a colecovision and various atari's, but I was way young then and don't remember much about them

Nintendo
NES --> SNES --> GC --> Wii
GBC --> GBA SP --> DS --> DS lite

Sega

Sony
PS1 --> PS2

MS
360

I bought the 360 to use as an extender, I play games on it more now. I'll pick up a PS3 after a price drop or two.

In order...

Coleco Vision
NES
SNES
Sega Genesis
Sega 32X
Sega CD
Turbografix 16 (awful)
Nintendo 64
Playstation
Sega Saturn
Dreamcast
Playstation 2
Gamecube
X-Box (which I sold several months later)
Wii

Atari 2600
Atari 7800
NES
Sega Gensis
Sega Game Gear
Atari Lynx
Atari Jaguar
Atari Jaguar CD
Xbox 1
Playstation 3

No previous Sony experience, the PS3 is the only console that i have hooked up.

SNES, PSX, PS2, PSTwo, Wii for Console. Planning on buying a PS3 next month.

GameBoy, GameGear, DS Lite for handheld. Almost bought a PSP, but got Wii instead.
