narse i havent forgotten about you.

im just figuring out a way to install a radiator inside your case. LOL..

the 900 wasnt designed for H2O purpose. :X :\

I don't mind mounting the radiator outside the case, I have been lookin at the swifttec kits they look simple but I am not sure how they perform.

Also I do plan to pick up the 1200 if Antec ever releases it. I think it is going to have an option to purchase it with a radiator mounted at the top with to 200mm fan.

mmmm then your budget is doable. i thought u asked for an all internal build.

Well from my research if you want to keep the case realtively together the radiator needs to go outside. No big deal for me. It does have holes already for water input and output tubing so Antec must have thought something about water cooling? What do you think aigomorla? now where to mount my new resivior?

Too bad my 900 is one of the first, it does not have the holes for water cooling, I wish it did. :(

Ah you have a rev 1 yeah mine does have the holes for water cooling though I do not see how a large style radiator could be mounted inside without serious modifications I just got the the resivior in the mail today will put together my water cooling page soon.

I just purchased a ful swiftech set up for vga and cpu. for just under $300, bought parts from newegg and petratechs, I could have saved about $30 if newegg had parts in stock but they didn't so I just paid extra to get all the parts at once.

from petratech:
Swiftech Apogee GT (cpu block) 47.99
Swiftech MCW60-R (8800gt block) 46.95
Swiftech micro reservoir 19.95
markleer 7/16ID 5/8OD tubing 14ft 0.59/ft
Swiftech smart coils 5/8OD tubing coils x2 2.95/ea
PT_nuke biocide 2.50
5/8OD plasti clamps x14 0.25/ea

145.49 total including shipping

from Newegg
Swiftech MC14 Ramsink x2 for 8800GT ram and mosftset 12.99/ea
Swiftech MCP655 variable voltage pump 74.99
Swiftech MCR220-QP Radiator 35.99

total 150.84 including shipping

so $300 is about how much it costs for a good water cooling vga-cpu setup

I just purchased a whole lot of the D-TEK Chrome 1/2" barbs, they seem to be what I've seen most people using and they look great

ek comes with ek barbs.
XSPC comes with metal barbs also.

The only barbs you need to change is the MCR320.

It doesn't come with barbs.

Edit: I'm talking about the pump tops, is that what you're refering to?

wait i thought they came with barbs. I never checked on the last order because i shifted over to the new koolance compression fittings.

Email John and ask him if they come with barbs. If he says they dont, then i guess they dont come with barbs.

My last order was kinda big so i didnt count how many barbs i got. I ordered a total of 7 items which all took barbs, so they came in a ziplock bag.

Sorry i should of counted them. But i could swear they came with barbs. :

If you want more info on the koolance compression fittings let me know. I have pictures. :D

They cost around 10 dollars per pair. A bit more pricey, but definitely blingy.

Yep no barbs it's ok I ordered some no big deal would have been nice as the resivoir was $44.00. Yes surfatwerk I'm talking about the restop. It is a beautiful peice I have to say question how tight to install the barbs? I fear cracking the resivior. I get why you may have suggested this pump res combo it performs well and has a small footprint for tight cases am I right? I'll havew my water page up as soon as I finish rebuilding my web server.

yes.

because expecially on the chipset, tubing will be a PITA to pull off and install without crushing your poor die.

if you grab ek's you need to double up on the oring. Use the ones that came with the plastic barbs adn just add them to the ones on the ek.

About the price:

Don't underestimate the 'little things' and the unforeseen purchases you'll need to make later down the line. What type of fans will you need, how many, what kind of mounting hardware for everything, what kind of tubing, how many loops, money spent on tools if you need them, money spent on a new case to accomodate what your current one may not be able to, do you need a beefier power supply because your current one is already at the limit, etc.

All that stuff adds up, big time. I spent close to 800 bucks on my water setup after all was said and done, and while I think it's a fairly badass setup it's definitely not the best of the best. Parts are in my sig.

Aig I still don't understand how it's even possible to spring a leak on something like this. If you're not senile and don't have Alzheimer's, it's impossible to set it up in such a way as to get leaks.

Step 1: Get real barbs, not the plastic shit that comes with every part you buy, res's, rads, etc.

Step 2: Get tubing that actually fits. Don't buy 3/4" tubing for 3/8" barbs. 7/16 on 1/2 ftw

Step 3: Put one or two zip ties on every single barb in your loop(s).

See, simple. Ok, annoying and tedious, but simple.
