Conservatives are for kneeling on the football field only for causes they approve

People died so he could do EXACTLY what he did. FFS

You do know the military paid the NFL to turn the start of games basically into a commercial for the US military right?

Also please list the acceptable forms of protest by persons of color and what cause that form is acceptable for. Because so far no matter what form their protest takes it's deemed "disrespectful" and "inappropriate".

I would add one thing to these excellent points. There is nothing in the flag code about kneeling while there is something about not flying the flag horizontal to the ground, like they do at every game.

If Trump won in 2020 and black people stormed the capital like those white nationalists Trump would have had them shot.

Any doubters?

A coach is much like a cleric in that both wield positions of authority, of which their flock/students wish to seek approval from, to show their clergy/coaches that they are loyal followers of their guidance.

Well it seems to me that coach had an underlying motive that speaks to his attempt at influencing his students to follow his lead by example by exploiting his authority over them just as any preacher of any faith would want to do to the faithful they hold sway over.

That coach could easily have had his conversation with his God at midfield after everyone had gone home, yet he specifically chose to do it right after the game in front of as many people as he could make it. It should have been a personal experience with his maker but he chose to make it a very public one that had nothing to do with the essence, the purpose of what a prayer is. He was in effect behaving as any pastor or whatever would preaching to their flock. In many ways he was performing a group prayer session without declaring it as such.

edit - for clarification

Personally my strong dislike for Kapernick and disrespect to the vets who served and in many cases died to protect OUR (as in yours and mine) miserable collective a$$es influenced my reaction. (and a serious butt-ton of others from ALL walks of life in America)

And this is coming from a white man who is ashamed to be white in many ways. (I wasn't given a choice before I was born don't know about anyone else)

The cause is absolutely just but the way they chose to do it was stupid. (and counter-productive IMO)
Except 6+ years later we still know what he did and why and are still talking about it. Seems quite effective.

Also go yell at all the white rednecks that yell "Home of the sooners" if you actually care about disrespecting the national anthem.

I would have thought mocking a POW for being captured is far more disrespectful to vets than kneeling during the anthem to garner attention for blacks being mistreated by the CJS. But what do I know.
Care to enlighten me as to exactly what you're talking about?

Keep in mind that was the guy who proclaimed that the Dallas Cowboys should never have traded For Herschel Walker, and it ruined them. :tearsofjoy: Along with other gems in some NFL threads. Somehow that earned me a coveted spot on his perma ignore list. :tearsofjoy:

Really? From the guy who bragged about shooting someone on 5th Ave? What would have stopped him, his sense of fairness?

Yes really, Or did he really shoot someone?.
Do you have a magic crystal ball?

Talk is cheap, look at all the racist BS you spew here in the forum.

A Muslim football coach would have exactly the same rights as this dude does.
No they wouldn't. Example: American Muslims were spied on after 9/11. It's about time we treated white nationalists the same way considering they are real terrorists.

Hell, black football players don't even have the same rights.
