Thankfully 80% of the nation is some form of moderate.

More like 80% of the nation does not use talk radio projections on liberals and live in the real world. All that stuff you said was totally lol examples of someone living in lala land I described. Someone has been listening to savage weinerboi conspiracy radio and friends. /facepalm

Actually I've been reading the news, primary sources that produce the news and otherwise paying attention.

The Breathalyzer bit was posted in this very forum, I'll let you search for it.

As for lalaland, you're the one who sucks at finding local attractions or anything of value in the local populace. Your view that everything in between major cities is an effective wasteland with the cities being bastions of diversity, culture and peace almost sounds like it was ripped straight out of the Command and Conquer games. I could show you many family owned restaurants, local theme parks, and other such things that my friends from the city think were awesome to visit.

I understand this, I have a knack at finding the good spots wherever I am and cool people.

But on a whole, yes the USA is a cultural wasteland with humans raised by teevee and its ideas of morals and views of life outside their isolation ingrained into them like a parasite of ignorance until shaken free by the "real world".

Well, tv and booze/drugs, but everywhere people generally want to escape their lives in the USA, the people here are faceless consumers to be mindfucked and farmed until death supported by slave labor across the world. It is rather bleak when you think of it. This is why I like being around real people. Life itself is a positive thing the tv fantasyworld is paranoid and depressing and it shows when its all culturally a people have in smaller places.

Conservatism is exactly what you get when you feed the ignorant/isolated fearmongering about the "big world" out there.

Your premise is epic fail.

I've lived in England, Germany and France (as well as the USA), have traveled all over Europe and into Africa and Muslim countries and am a conservative.

Now you OTOH, admit to not traveling outside your own city and are a liberal:

Not much to see outside the city but a endless wasteland of walmarts/parking lots/fast food joints and boring clusters of crackerbox houses.

The rest of the USA is a sad place. (NYC is nice, whats not been gentrified into submission)

How did you not see the self pwnage revealed in your two posts?

BTW: When I travel a mere 20 minutes out of my city I'm in wonderful state/national parks with spectacular mountain views, unspoiled forests, rushing moutain creeks/rivers and beautiful waterfalls.

If you live where I think you do, you've got some great stuff all around you.

I get out to Yosemite and take trips down to LA/Hollywood a few times a year (sometimes the desert, sometimes the snow for hiking). I haven't spent time in NYC or Europe lately is my idea of "not getting out much" Los Angeles or Oakland are just bigass glorified 'burbs. Not much different then Houston or Cleavland really. Lots of fast food joints and squat ugly houses. Sometimes a 3 story building. Lots of overweight people looking dazed and drugged like they are in some trance driving their cars in circles pointlessly in and out of stripmalls to buy useless shit they have been told to on tv. Thats the USA.

Or maybe I am being an asshole who watched too much George Carlin last night. Whatever.
