Connecticut now in play according to polls

Seriously? Race HAS to be a part of it?

yeah I think this went over your head dude. Most of congress is rich white people. its not a race issue its just the standard procedure. implying both of these two won't be any different and they will fit right in in D.C.

The tide will sweep, and previous "untouchable" enclaves such as CT will fall as well. Tea Party!
For the Tea Party to win CT they will have to pull a lot harder for their candidate. Hint: it's not one of the two (or three) that get MSM mentions.

I'm not sure who is worse a douche that lies about his military service or someone who wants to buy their way in to congress. :hmm:

Either way CT is going to get screwed.

Who doesn't buy their way into office? The only difference here is she is using her own money instead of someone elses money.

We have lots of Republicans here in CT, New England is the birthplace and traditionally the home of the GOP. What we don't have (except a few rare transplants) are the religious authoritarian/moral majority type GOP. These days our GOP are frequently called RINOs because they find it anathema to compel the rest of society how to live their lives. OUr GOP is more of a traditional small government, promote individual freedom type-an endangered species these days. Many, many town governments here are GOP run.

BTW, CT hasn't had a Democratic governor since Jan, 1991 and we have GOP in all but name Senator Joe Lieberman.

My personal belief is Linda McMahon will flame out, especially when the electorate realises she made her fortune off of pushing steriods. I hope she does get nominated though, Simmons would be a much tougher opponent.

Thanks for supporting my statement. The largest group is 20 members with most sporting less than 5. Sounds like a real presence lol. these 100+ so tea partyers are probably transplants too.

So, you've been owned and it was shown that in fact it does exist, so you change the criteria for "existing" to include some as yet undefined number?

My comment is borrow from another thread where a poster lamented that the current generation of CT politicians are total duds. And therefore bring forth the pitipot gloom and doom and wallow in it.

As for me, I tend to be an optimist, and note that a State that can produce a Lowell Weicher is not doomed, and its more of a generational crisis in transition. I can remember a 1960 protest song starting out with, I believe in God and Senator Dodd, even if I don't compare the now retiring Dodd with his daddy. And whose next is Lieberman come 2012, and now a political dead man walking. But but between the two, they have stood astride CT for too long, and now CT is ready for a new generation of leadership while that new generation has no experience leading. There will be no doubt some false starts, but I am still bullish on CT.

CT is a dynamic state, with an ever varied set of constituencies, but I very much doubt it will ever buy the T bagger set of doctrines. That new set of young and dynamic set of leaders will emerge to re invent CT once again.
