Sanitizing your groceries? We take precautions, use hand sanitizer while out and 'touching' things, and after bringing in groceries and putting them up we wash our hands.

Yes sir. Pretty much anything coming into the house gets sanitized.

I believe many have first shots but not second shot yet, and most vaccines take a couple weeks to become fully effective
I had forgotten about it taking a few weeks to be effective. Don't know about the 2nd shots. According to my state's dhhr site only about 13,000 people have had both shots and those in the gov't were among the first to get the vaccine.

Looking back, there was a flurry of news and photos of Congress getting (first) vaccine shots around Dec 19, which would have 2nd shot implied for this past weekend.

It's time to start naming names. Who specifically refused to wear masks.
If I were a betting man, I’d wager on a very high correlation between congressional anti-maskers and those that voted pro-insurrection. Perhaps not quite completely overlapping set, but darn close, as suffering from a common single source of insanity

Pelosi and an aid just tested positive. They are both vaccinated and have mild symptoms so far, so they should hopefully be safe.

Also, Jen Psaki recently confirmed a breakthrough infection in the White House:

"Press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed that there have been multiple breakthrough coronavirus cases among White House staffers. Psaki did not say how many breakthrough cases there have been in the White House, but added that she would check."

She says the administration's commitment to "release information provocatively" only applies to "commissioned officers."

“We know that there will be breakthrough cases, but as this instance shows, cases in vaccinated individuals are typically mild,” a WH official says. “The White House is prepared for breakthrough cases with regular testing.”

I mentioned in another thread that I am aware of one local office that had a likely delta breakout last week. Five fully vaxxed people got sick (symptomatic) with 2 being knocked out for 6+ days. Both are in their late 20s/early 30s and super healthy. This was a wake up call for me—will be masking again.

Delta is all over the country and making up the majority of sequenced cases in quite a few places now. Vaccines are keeping people to asymptomatic and mild cases though instead of putting more people in hospitals and the ground.
