False.... In general the republican party is much more open towards people giving their say so.

Our American democrat party will toss out anyone who speaks against them.

That's hilarious! All one has to do is look at the voting habits or listen to the few good republicans who got out of politics or tried straying from the party line (see Olympia snow or John huntsman).

In politics, talk is cheap, its the vote that matters.

That is your retort? Then where are the democtats in name only?

There are none. Bernie sanders who frequently caucuses with the dems is an independent.

Have you seen a libertarian get elected on their own?

At least you can admit then there arent democrats actively trying to challenge the leaderships position on gun control.

I am confused. What is this whole tea party thing???? Democrats were all over the split in the republican party due to the tea party. And how the republican leadership being forced to tow their line for fear of not getting their votes.

Which way is it? Republicans are all lock step or there is a major rift within the party between multiple factions right now? In other words, republicans challenging the leadership.

No, the republican leadership has caved to the tea party. The Republican Party is non existent, its just a bunch of right wingers who call themselves republicans.

So I will take that as a yes from you that the republican party is indeed divided with multiple factions openly fighting the leadership of the party. Unlike the democrat party which appears to be in lockstep all the way. I am still waiting on you finding me a faction or even a single democrat who is openly criticizing the leadership for their insanity regarding guns.

Openly fighting? Maybe. Voting in lockstep? Yes.

The democrats? Openly fighting? Not really, voting in lockstep? Depends.

Btw Harry Reid didnt push for fienstiens assault weapons ban and he voted against the original ban in 93.

Interesting because the anti gun crowd uses the same argument you just made to push their agenda but somehow I think you would disagree with their logic.

My logic is sound;)

The argument is different. Antigunners believe that banning concealed carry, open carry, or guns in general impacts how criminals will use their guns. Hint: It won't impact them.

So the moral of the story is: if the left got their wish, that man would not have been able to defend himself.

Correct, but to refine your assessment, the left doesn't care if this guy lives or dies in any situation. Public safety has nothing to do with their agenda. They are self serving.
