Thanks cooky for the warning...so I shouldn't be expecting my $20 rebate...so is $50 for the AGP Radeon worth it?

I guess the rebate checks will eventually come; it's just a matter of time and effort that you're willing to deal w/ TCA (the rebate fulfillment company).
Not sure if $50 is worth it since I don't pay too much attention to video cards.

faxing in is a dope idea. man, i wish i had thought of that before. because that's what i ended up having to do on the samsung 16x cdrw from best buy rebate ANYWAY-- paying extra money to kinko's to fax it in

That works in situation when the rebate company denies your application. What TCA's doing is it does not reject your application but keep pushing back the check mail-out date or holding the rebate check. Everytime I called the CSR promised me the check will be mailed out by the end of the week which never happened.

Edit: Anyone who has received his/her rebate check from TCA within 6-8 weeks please PM me a set of lottery numbers because you have extremly good luck.

Cooky--I don't have winning lottery numbers for you but I did get a rebate from the New Rochelle rebate place in about 8 weeks.

Purchased the 120gig 8mb w-d drive from comp and mailed in for the $100 rebate on 5-22, rebate arrived on 7-15. I was extremely surprised it arrived so soon.

I purchased a Samsung 15" 571 TFT LCD Monitor for a friend on I think Mid-April for $20 and the rebate was to TCA. I sent the rebate along with the one for my $50 for the Motorola v60c from Verizon on the same date
as well as the Cendyne 24x CDRW from OfficeMax. They all said 8-10 weeks. Both the Verizon and OfficeMax rebates came in Mid June. So on July 8th, I called TCA and they said it will go out on the 9th so I guess on Monday, I got the check for $20 but it was dated 7/12/2002. I think what they do is unless you call them, they will keep delaying it? I think I got rebates from TCA before for CompUSA purchases.

That's exactly what I'm talking about-TCA in NewRochelle (AKA wheresmyrebate.com) is screwing those who're either new to the rebate game or too lazy to keep track of the rebates submitted.
I use an Excel file to keep records of every single detail of the 40 rebates I've participated so far.

Sent in 2 rebates in Nov. last year and didn't receive the checks from TCA until April 2002. That was after many phone calls to yell at them. I kinda felt bad about it 'cause it was prolly management's decision for the bad practice, not the CSRs' but since they work for TCA, they share some responsibility....ah well.
