Gainward GF4Ti4200 64MB $179.99 - $30 instant = $149.99 No mir! 293827
!!!!! WARNING !!!!!
!!!!! WARNING !!!!!

The link to the CompUSA site indicates that this video card Item # 293827 @ CompUSA indicates that this video card features the "XP" feature which allows VIVO (Video In - Video Out) capabilities plus a TV Out feature. This information on the CompUSA site is a mis-print. I purchased this card based on this information only to get it home and find out that the card does not feature VIVO, nor TV Out. It is just a "single head" card allowing you to connect one monitor through it via a VGA connector. That's it! Newegg.Com features this same video card for $143.00 + shipping. If you're looking for the VIVO features or TV-Out, then look elsewhere. PriceWatch has vendors selling the "full-featured" card starting at $158.00.

I'm going to print out the Web site information from CompUSA.com and bring it back along with this card in case they try to jack me with the 15% "open box" fee. Damn, I'm pissed! :| :| :|

I'm looking to get that Radeon AGP to replace my aging Voodoo3 3000. Anyone know if $50 is a good deal for that card?

wow, those are some amazing deals. GF4 for $150, now that is nice. I'm gonna pick up that PCI radeon for $50 and stick it in my emachine.

Thanks for letting us know. I also bought this card but have not opened it yet - am on my way to return it. Next time I'll stick to buying from Newegg as I had planned before this 'deal' came up.

i just came back from compusa... decided the video card had no VIVO (and asked the clueless sales rep) so i guess im going to buy it from the internet instead!

**Another Warning**
Bought the Samsung CDRW for $30 after MIRs and just realized one of the $30 rebates is through TCA, which still owes me a check from March so I'm going to return it first thing tomorrow.

I too went to Compusa & found the Gainward GF4Ti4200 to have no vivo.

I also found that the 25 pack (x4) of CD-R are 80min, not 74 as the web description showed🙂

psazerodivide
I asked at Compusa about the two upc's. I was told I should send the original upc to the Maxtor rebate, & send a copy to the Compusa rebate. Of course, ALWAYS make copies.😉

Thanks for the warnings guys. I wanted the Ti4200 but need Dual Head... I'm glad I didn't drive clear across town for this.

Went and bought the Maxtor 160GB (yes, it's a 5400rpm ... comes with an IDE card though). You have to send rebate forms to Maxtor and Compusa but both are asking for the original UPC label. But there is only one UPC label on the box. It's a sunday so there is no one to speak to on their rebate center line. Has anyone run into this situation before? 😕

Walked into CU around 11:15 and saw several peeps walking out already with special edition WD drives. Picked one up just in case....

Went to CC where they had the wd800jb for $159.99 as well. Just for the hell of it, I took a chance and asked customer service to pricematch with CU at the after mir price of 99.99. Lo and behold, the girl fell for it!! Yea i felt sorta bad...... but getting a wd800jb for $100+taxes right on the spot is all worth it. 🙂 🙂

somebody asked about the radeon SDR pci. that one has been on clr @ od for a while @ $49.99 -- may drop real soon, may not...
thanks for the thread, mr. DUKAT1!

Thanks for the information about it not having VIVO. I was actualy at CompUSA, had the package in hand, decided to go ahead and walk around with my friend to see what else they had. He was preoccupied playing stuntman on the XBOX display, and I saw a computer. It had internet, so I came to the message board and checked this thread (where I had original saw the deal). Thanks to seeing your warning, I didn't buy it, thus avoiding the disapointment and having to return it. 🙂 Thanks!

Picked up 160 Gig maxtor...

It came out 219.99 + 13.20 tax. If I can get 40 + 30 rebate.. it's good deal.

Now, both rebates ask original UPC and there's only on UPC on the box.

How the hell I can submit ?

More info on the deal unclebud is talking about.

The Radeon 32MB SDR PCI is ringing up at $29.99 at the register.

The Radeon 32MB DDR AGP is ringing up at $49.99 and you can still send in the $20 MIR. Final cost is $30 + tax.

HOT, HOT, HOT...

😀

Can anyone else verify the Radeon AGP is ringing up for $50? Not like I'm not trusting lanyap, but it could be a pricing mistake at his particular store. And should I get this to replace my Voodoo3 3000 (I don't play games all that much)?

More verification >>> HERE <<<<. This is how I found out about it. Thanks to kevpriest

The Radeon AGP rebate PDF form is >>>> HERE <<<<

I'd like to remind those who're jumping on the SamSung CDRW and ATI Radeon AGP card deals that the rebates are being handled by the same company in NewRochelle, NY that still owes me check since March.
Don't expect to get your rebate check soon but after 4 months and 10 phone calls.

I know both deals seem very tempting but you can't just put your head in the grass and pretend the issue doesn't exist.
