Lol. The 175GB HD is sold out online, but only one of the two rebates are good. The $30 rebate specifically states "6:00 pm till 12:00 am".

Redondo Beach, CA had 30 HP printers. They didn't last long, but because a couple weren't quickly snatched, the deal did last a good 30 minutes or so. There wasn't a run on any of the other items; I guess this neighborhood is cheap. :p Before the doors opened, about 20 people were already waiting.

There were plenty of CD wallets in a low cage when I grabbed mine & left.

It'll probably be a madhouse before 6 p.m. so I doubt I'll go back for the other goodies on sale.

 I got the e-mail this morning...seems to be some really good deals especially if you don't mind dealing with rebates. The real problem that I expect is finding a parking spot

Woodland Hills CUSA had 12 people in line and thankfully they handed out small slips of paper to get the printer for the first 10 people in line. So all were gone before the doors even opened. I walked out with a 1115 printer and IOMagic PVR card for $59 (incl tax) - $20 MIR = $39. :D

I canceled my order because I was paranoid about stuff they'd pull like that.

1) The original rebates mentioned a "promotional period" on 3/21.
2) The submission deadline is way too short. 2 weeks? What if my order doesn't even arrive by then!?
3) The invoice date is what matters, and the invoice is usually printed just before shipping time, so if it ships on 3/22, you're screwed.

For the record, I have copies of the rebates that don't mention the 6 PM to 12 AM timeframe if anybody wants them, but I would probably suggest not bothering with trying to get them and returning the drive to a retail location upon delivery. You eat the $5+ shipping cost, but it's better than paying too much for a HDD...

Yeah, same here... got out of class around 9:30am and the ten printers they had were all gone. Apparently four people bought them all. Got two of the cd cases though without a problem, there were about five or so left. I'll probably end up going back around 6:00 to see if I can grab one of those APC backups thats free after rebate, they had about 15 of them sitting there.

My wife just got back from the CUSA in Little Rock, Arkansas. She said they still had cd holders, pvr cards, but nothing else. However, they said they had sold 10 printers this morning, but had held 10 more back for 6 pm tonight. So, they may have another "wave" of products tonight.

FYI, I asked an assistant mgr in Boulder CO if I could buy something at lunch today and have it returned/repurchased tonight since I have to work till 8:00 and he said no problem, so I suppose YMMV on the ability to "rebuy" during the promotional period, but it's definitely worth a try.

man, i am very tempted by that 175gb wd hdd sale, but the fact that $100 rebate is big risk to deal with.... any opinion?

I opted to buy it online originally (cancelled the order later) because it's not worth my time waiting in line for over an hour just to be too late to get in on the deal at the B&M store. Also, the rebates are through RebatesHQ.com, which isn't the best service out there.

Any idea on how good this SMC $40 wireless router is? The only reviews I could find are a few of them on Amazon and they're not stellar!
I intend to use this as a regular access point, i.e. not plug it in a broadbnad connection at all som I'm not too concerned about the broadband port and functionnality.
