I just updated the status for all projects using bold for open projects and italics for closed projects and it actually turned out quite a bit better than I expected. At least in Internet Explorer, it is very easy to pick out the bolded lines even when scrolling quickly through the list. 🙂

Added descriptions for most of the projects that I could find information on. Most of the ones with no description now either didn't have a useful description on the site, or the site is down so I can't find anything at all on them.

Also added Processing times, Expiration times, and approximate Points Per Day ratings from my 2.2GHz Sempron machine. Some of the projects don't have results stored for me any more since I haven't returned anything for a long time so I'll need to calculate those from the log files on my computer when I get around to it.

I don't have expiration times for a lot of the projects yet since I have to tell my computer to download more work for the ones I'm not actively crunching so I can get the times from the new work units since this information isn't stored anywhere that I can find. If you have this info for any of the projects I don't have listed yet, I'd appreciate it so that I can continue crunching just the projects I'm actually interested in. 🙂

Brilliant list Fardringle!!!

Is there any way to fix this list to the top of the front page of the forum for easy reference? I think it is of great use.

I think only the mods can make a thread sticky. I wouldn't be at all offended if any of the "powers that be" wanted to go ahead and do that.. 😀

Updated some more info for several projects and added the new test project Cunning Plan. I get errors when downloading work on my XP Pro and Server 2003 machines, but some people have returned results as recently as an hour ago for points on XP Home and Linux so I'm interested to see if anyone else on our team is able to attach properly.. 🙂

Hi Fardingle,

Again, excellent list. really impressive. I have 2 comments:

1. I second the idea of having the active / inactive status just below the project name.
2. World Community Grid has a 7 to 1 ratio of awarding BOINC credits. They give 1 BOINC credit to every 7 WCG point. This is stated on their website. Dividing the 1730 you have gives me about what I have been receiving.

Otherwise, please keep up the good updates.

Hi there,

There seems to be a new project shown on BOINCStats - VTV@Home.

Anyone know the URL?

Mind including it on the list?

Good point on the WCG points, Borg. I was aware of that but forgot about it when I put the numbers in the list. I'll fix it and update that info when I add the VTU project as soon as I have a few minutes to edit the list at home. 🙂

I updated the points info for WCG and Rosetta, moved the project status lines directly below the project names, and added the VTU@Home project to the list. The VTU site has been down for several days so I don't have any actual info for it yet, but that puts the list at a total of 51 projects, 23 of which are actively running (not counting Burp and Pirates which are active projects, but "on hold" for the summer)

Thx Fardringle!

I PMed a mod and asked him to make this thread a permanent sticky right under our welcome thread. I hope he does it, 'cause this thread is a really good guide for people who are new to DC and a good resource if one is looking for a new project to crunch on!

😀

Great BMC! 🙂
I did that too (around June 10, 2006) but that did not have any effect. 🙁
If more of us crunchers politely PM:ed the mod, then may be the thread would become sticky!
It is an important thread with a lot of info!
