@Fardringle:

I guess I found a new project, at least I can't find it on your list:

Spinhenge@home

Account creation is not possible at the moment, so I can't tell how long a WU will take and we don't have a TeAm there yet.

But here's info from the site:

We make only a Windows available version of our application for the moment. However it is also planned to develop a Linux version.

Only test Workunits are sending out, in order to test the application and the server. These WU's taking approx. 10 minutes on a AMD 2600 MHz system. After the alpha test phase is final, Workunits are then distributed, which need longer for the computation. It is not certain yet how long these WU's will be needed.

Their scientific goal looks like "Molecular Magnetism" and "Controlled Nanoscale Magnetism" via "statistical calculations for Spin Dynamics by means of distributed calculation". :)

Spinhenge@home added to the list. It looks like that one will be open for beta testing in September. As soon as I work through my post-vacation recovery period ;) I'll try and put together a usable project description from the small amount of information that is up on the site so far. Thanks, BMC! :)

Thanks for the sticky, mods! (And those who shamelessly begged for it.) :D

Added the Reisel Sieve alpha project. The Reisel Sieve project has been running for a long time with a stand-alone client. They are currently testing the feasibility of using the BOINC system to run their client. The project is currently a closed alpha but may be opened up to additional accounts as the testing continues.

You might want to change "open account creation" to "closed for a month due to server overload" for the Leiden Classical project :)

Thanks for the info on Leiden. I need to mark Malaria account creation as closed as well. I'll take care of that when I get home.

I really need to remember to send myself a copy of the "master" list here at work so I can make updates while I'm thinking about them instead of just at home when it's time to sleep. ;)

Thanks for the info, Phillipart.

I already had Project Neuron on the list, but I added Nano-Hive@home and will add the POV project as soon as the site is back up so I can get some project information. :)

One more time: Thank you Fardringle, for maintaining this thread! :D
It made my job of preparing the september poll for TAS som much easier: and 7 new BOINC-projects to vote on! :)

You are a great team mate - both as a cruncher and a contributor to this forum! :beer:
