Trump asks Comey to investigate if the pee pee tape is real at least 4 times...

I.e. it's real.

A man who has never been in a room with Russian prostitutes peeing on a bed doesn't worry about the existence of a videotape that shows Russian prostitutes peeing on a bed.

But a man who has? Well, he's the guy who starts sweating once the rumors start....

I'm gonna assume, most likely a pee tape will be released sometime. And I think the man in it will look a lot like Trump but not be positively identifiable. And Putin will say, maybe it’s him, maybe not ...but it sure looks like him.

Trump will, of course, deny it. But since everyone knows he lies about everything, his denial will carry no weight. He will demand truth in a world where he spent the last year singlehandedly destroying the concept of truth. Those leaks trickling out about Comey's book, and the yellow-journalism coverage thereof, really have him pissed..

It seems to me that he wants the accusation proven false to probably back up the lie to his wife. So he "ask" Comey to either find the tapes and bury it or make up whatever and say it's false to back up his lie. I think he's just using her as an excuse cause I doubt he could care less about what she thought.

Any self-professed liberals, progressives or Democrats actually buying this book? I think this is one I'm happy to ignore...Comey doesn't deserve a dime from me.

This book release junket is the one and only time I will agree with Trump that Comey is a smug, grandstanding sumunabitch.

I agree. But some of the pettiness in this book that’s come out about Trump, his orange skin. His hands etc... doesn’t help his argument imho.

It's Comey's life, and it's obviously his right to pen memoirs about his encounters with Trump, but I kinda wish he hadn't gone ahead with it, not NOW at least. Fairly or not, he avails himself to criticism that he's bent about being fired. But more importantly, as a central figure in an ongoing investigation about the kind of shitty president the people elected, he's potentially playing a role in discrediting the very investigation he wants to see continued to the end. Trump survived Fire and Fury, and he will probably survive this book tour as well.

It's all cool, but Comey should have warned the country before the election. He felt very strongly about keeping us posted on Hillary's emails, but saved his concerns about Trump until after. He is the reason Trump is president.

Since when does Trump care about what melania thinks?

"oh comey, please disprove the pee pee tapes or melania is going to keep forcing me to sleep on the couch. No of course she doesn't care about the pornstar, prostitute, access hollywood tape, and 12 women alleging sexual harrassment and sexual assault. She only cares about russian pee pee tapes".

Minute 1: 'Comey is a leaker and I hate leakers SO MUCH!'
Minute 2: 'Scooter can be free!'

Dear G*d no.

We needed less Comey, not more. The guy's a fuster-cluck of bad judgement. He should have followed protocol.

Yes, but he applied a different standard to Clinton than he did to Trump. He damaged this country for a generation or maybe permanently.

I'm troubled by all sorts of things. The FBI history is marred by the J. Edgar Era. He abused his power. He was working hand-in-hand with Nixon, who abused his own power. From this, the new Alt-Right spins stories that Roosevelt created the FBI to persecute his political enemies. But since the '70s, CIA has been reined in, and FBI has been operating within its intended limits. If you think that "renditions" and "waterboarding" were examples of "gross" CIA excess, you need to read up on the 200 or so assassination projects wedded to psy-war cover stories, the history of the Vietnam War, Operation Phoenix, narratives about persons-of-interest in the Gulf of Tonkin incident, Ted Shackley and the phony statistics being fed to McNamara, the post-assassination HONETOL molehunts, and finally the Church Committee hearings. These are still institutions we want to keep.

When Comey got the spotlight during the election, I was sure he had stepped in some poop, but the poop was created by the GOP congress with what was truly a witch-hunt against Clinton. I would think that a criminal investigation proceeds a step at a time according to its fruitfulness. If you keep making hypotheses about what you will find, and the search turns up empty, then at some point, you terminate it. I don't think Comey would deny this. I do think that FBI was under pressure from media and congress to pick scabs over e-mails.

Yet the Right keeps banging the drum that Clinton "committed crimes." And now, the Blond Lunatic is attempting to erode the institutional objectivity of an important federal agency. Revisiting the concept of an investigative search space, after all that's been produced since the first announcements about Russian meddling from our national security apparatus, I don't think there's anyone with both common sense and a love of Truth over partisan desire who wants to simply terminate the investigation as soon as possible.

What Comey has published in his book is exactly what I thought he was capable of saying. And -- I believe it.

If Trump was as evil as the Clintons, Comey wouldn't be publishing a book. He would have shot himself in the back of the head. :D

What? Are you OK? This is incoherent? Are you feeling that Trump will soon go down and it makes you angry and afraid? I think it's going to be for the better so I'm not worried at all.

Humor and jesting, are apparently, not in your wheel house. I'm not afraid of anything, except left wing nut jobs, of course. BUT...usually the most dangerous person, to you, is the one looking back at you, when you shave.
