Russ, have you ever really listened to hip hop? I'm older than Red (gasp) and it's my favorite music.

Even Ornery changed his preconceived notions. It may never be his favorite music - but it is still an artform worthy of attention. Even Red admitted it can be good (even if he doesn't like it).
 
The only opera music I ever enjoyed was when that blue creature from The Fifth Element voiced prolific. How she did that while at the same time carrying all of those Elements in her tummy was a tribute to that musical form.
 
Well then, Russ, hip hop is in good company with opera. Opera has been recognized as an musical art form for many years.

You should just say you don't like it. Condemning an entire music form by saying it sucks is wrong.

There are plenty of talented rappers out there like J5, Mosdef and The Roots. There are also a lot of sold out lamers.

When did Red say it sucks (in this thread)? To me it sounds like he can actually respect it now. If he didn't he'd be saying it sucks, but rather he said &quot;I just don't like it&quot;. And Red I'm much happier to hear that rather than hearing insults. If you don't like it thats cool by me, it's the disrespect thing that gets me =)
