I've received my first two orders without any problem, while I was waiting for my them to be shipped, I saw someone mentioned something in this thread that u could place orders wtih different credit card and different phone number with the same address as well, so that means if we can place two orders per one credit card for one address, we could place another two orders on a different credit card with a different phone number(use your cell phone) for the same address. So I decided to give it a try since I didn't know when the deal would be expired, I placed another order (third order) on a different credit card while I was waiting for my first two orders, then as I received my first order, I called CH to cancel the account then place another order(fourth order). I just received my second order on Tuesday, again I called to cancel the second account, but I didn't place any more orders as I wanted to see if my third and fourth orders had been process or not. Up til now, I haven't seen any charges on my credit card, it's been more than a week since I placed my third order now, I am not sure if I want to re-order it again. did this happened to any of u?

A while back I placed a 3rd order when I already had 2 accounts open and they just ignored my 3rd order. So, don't try to open 3 accounts at the same time.

BTW, I received my DVD today and closed the account ASAP. No problem at all. 😀

Damn, I just got off the phone opening my 3rd account. The CSR grilled the hell out of me for a PSN. I said I don't have it. She said "It's on the paper where you got the code." Several repeatings of this, and several condescending remarks (by her) later, and she just gave up on trying to get it from me.

i'd say try and call back...i've called to cancel and rejoin on the same call twice.

some CSRs are just inherantly more friendly.

There is a lot of concern abotu orders not being charged.

What is the maximum time it takes for a charge to appear on the credit card.
Most guys here say that it should appear in 2-3 days or its as good as being rejected/ignored or simply lost. Is that true ?

Has anyone seen a charge appear after 4-5 days of siging up ??

Check out the DVDtalk forum. I read people their talking about how their card would be charged 8 weeks after ordering. EIGHT WEEKS

You can read a number of threads on the topic, what movies do you watch over and over by doing Google and Google Groups searches on this string: movies over and over. Good for a lot of ideas. Myself, I ordered 15 movies the last 10 days or so. Several of these (everything after Pulp Fiction in the list below) I got outside the CH deal, mostly because they aren't enrollment selections:

I've dealt with Columbia House a few times. 5-6 days would be considered unusually fast from my experience. I would get concerned after 2-3 weeks.

Well..it was good while it lasted.

Unless there are 3 different people living at those 3 different addresses with 3 different credit cards, I think you're asking for trouble. If you have an old open or closed CH account or get one of the new accounts to go through, the 11 digit CH club account number IS a valid PSN number.


And for ideas on movies that you would want to own, the Best of Rotten Tomatoes is a good starting point with best of, by year, genre, etc:

3 accounts are for 3 diff people with dif credit card nos.

Did not realize that an old membership number can be a valid PSN..I can start giving that..maybe things will show up fatsre that way...I have strong reasons to believe that they are falgging or ignoring orders without a valid PSN..cos oflate there have been too mnay orders with the XB6D code.

On Oct 21st the charge went through 3 weeks later I still don't have my DVDs. I'm an avid DVDTalker and participant in the DVD Clubs forum (which is where this deal came from). I've had a number of CH accounts over the last couple years but I held off for 6 months after getting burned by a CH mistake. In the end it all got worked out, but it took about 2 months to get the DVDs I had ordered and have my account straightened out (i.e. credit card charges credited back to me).

CH is touch and go.

Right, and I got all those through CH except Titanic and Crouching Tiger... which I got at Overstock.com. C. Tiger was 6.99 (I suppose it still is), #35504, and Titanic was 8.99, a little more than through CH, but I don't have to wait, etc. Also got #509681 The Seventh Seal (DVD) $28.69 there, the best deal around I could find.

I think the approval dept is just cancelling all orders for ppl who have ordered before althogh you have only 2 aacnt active at a time.

I placed orders from three diff address/names but the second round has not been charged..its been 2 weeks now. They always sign you up..but it doesnt go beyong that !

Muse - are you sure the charge on 11/4 wasn't from your second order? I am in the same boat as everyone here..I had an account that wa charged to my CC two days after I opened it (10/22 - 10/24), and I closed the acct and opened another one almost two weeks ago, and haven't seen any charges.
