Uhh, you mean you bought those DVDs based on what others thought? I don't know about you, but I base my purchases on what I like, not on what other people think.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. "Masterpiece" indeed!

You don't ask if it's over, you tell them your code. You might want to do one of the other Col*House offers. The one I saw at their website looked pretty good a couple weeks ago. I saw one at the back of next week's TV Guide. They're probably in there every week. You can get 9 DVD's for $10 and change each, shipped. Not as good as this deal, but not too bad. Here it's 5 at .49 + shipping, get the 6th at 14.99 + shipping, order 3 more at regular price (19.95 minimum), 2 years to choose. Then you can cancel. I've never done this, so I can't vouch for it, but it looks like you get the enrollment catalogue for the first 5, probably the whole catalogue for the other 4, over 2000 titles.

AFAIK, 7cy is the best code right now

5 @ .49
1 @ 14.95
2 fullfullments.

i was able to get 6 accounts to one address with this code...shoulda used some relative's addresses like another member here. anyways, i asked to open an account with the same code, and she said the code was no longer valid, just like everyone else said :(

Just used the 7cy myself. Online it was asking for a mailing number that I didn't have so I called them at the number mentioned in the second post of this thread and told them that a friend had gotten the mailing but never had used the code so I wanted too ;)

5@ .49 = 2.50
14.95
ship for enroll = 12
2 fulfill @ 19.95 (you can pick more expensive ones, but it'd cost more)
fulfill ship =$5

total = 74.5 + tax, or 9.30 a piece. (assuming i did the math right) ;)

Yeah, me too. I'm holding off on doing this deal because I expect my 2nd and last XB6D order to arrive any day. Not sure what's going to be in it because I had at least 3 somewhat different orders "pending approval." My CC was charged on 11/23, but no box yet.

Is it safe to assume that the insert that CH includes with these that has 2000+ DVDs described is the full extent of their catalogue? How do you know exactly what's available for the enrollment DVDs with 7cy? Even at DVDTalk they're kind of unclear and unsure of that when I was checking a few weeks ago.

I just checked and see I got charged on another credit card on 11/26/02, said upward in the thread to be the last day for this code. This is my 3rd approved order. Before, I called CS to check and see exactly what titles were shipping on my 2nd order. Was asked for my zipcode and last name and was told the day of shipment (11/27) and the titles of my DVDs.

If you are talking about XB6D, the genesis of this thread, yes, it was a phone thing, basically. But it's dead now, as noted in several of the last 15 or so posts. The code no longer works.

Well, it was good while it lasted. One of my orders DID get rejected, but I'm still satisfied.
Managed to pull in 3, between gf and myself:

1) Terminator 2: Ultimate Edition
2) Usual Suspects: Special Edition
3) Snatch

4) Trainspotting
5) Rushmore
6) Seven: Platinum Edition

7) As Good as it Gets
8) The Life of Python
9) World War II: Lost Color Archives

I don't know about you guys, but that's well worth ~$44. Don't have to feel like I *abused* them either, because two credit cards were used.

PS: For further reference, call from DIFFERENT NUMBERS when trying to open multiple accounts. As far as I can tell, you can only have two accounts called in PER TELEPHONE LINE. May be wrong, but it's a possible explanation...

I'm not sure about the whys and wherefores but when I called them a few days ago to find out about my order they asked me for my zipcode and last name. Yesterday, calling about a different "account" they also asked me for the address. I've seen so many people in this thread saying they tracked the phone number you called from when you placed the order that I have to think they did. I placed an order and placed another a few days later, from the same phone but a different CC. Somehow the 2nd order didn't get approved (placed 11/2) and I thought they were reigning in this code, being more careful and restrictive with their approvals. I reordered the 2nd order a couple weeks later using my first CC and they charged me on 11/23. I placed a 3rd order thinking of everything I could do to maximize my chances of success:

Different phone
Different CC
Different ship-to address

About the only thing the same was my name. It didn't get approved and I had to wonder. However, it finally got charged on 11/26 and it's in shipment.

1. LOTR
2. Terminator II
3. Matrix

1. Pulp Fiction
2. Sex in the City (season 1)
3. Mulholland Dr.

1. Cirque de Soleil double set
2. Lawrence of Arabia
3. Monty Python and the Holy Grail

It was fun and it got me thinking a lot about what DVD's I would really like to own. I got about an equal number, meantime, through other sources - online and B&M. I still have a dozen or two on my prospective list.

WFT!! Just got my first DVD (Sum of all Fears) and it charged me $32.04. It shows a unit price of 26.95 for this movie. You better check your charges. This is no where close to the $7.04 per dvd.

It's going back...:disgust:

Call them up. If there was a misunderstanding maybe they'll correct it. Good luck. Got my last order last week and cancelled last night.

it looks like you didnt cancel your membership in time and/or didn't decline your director's selection on time. just call them up, and they'll send you a mailing label to mail it back.

Yes, that is indeed the case. The messed up part is that I didn't even receive my promo dvd's (3) but only the director's selection. Just cancelled and tracing on the missings. What a headache. Didn't know it takes upto 6 weeks for delivery....

Did they actually charge a credit card or just bill you? If they actually charged a c.c. then yeah what a hassle. Sorry! If they just billed you, i.e. your C.H. account, write REFUSED in bold black marker and drop it in a mailbox. That's what I did when I used to be a member and a monthly selection would sneak by me. I never had a problem with a credit to my C.H. account. Of course they didn't have a current c.c. to charge so it wasn't a problem for me. Hope that helps a little. I don't think everyone got to get in on this deal, I only got one of three orders. I know, I'm grateful for the one order but I had been a member for 2 years and fulfulled all my purchases so I thought I'd be a little luckier.

By the way, writing refused on the box is in the membership agreement, or it was when I was a member.

I was charged on my C.C. The delivery took so long that I rented the movie myself. Then the movie came. :D

Well they also "misunderstood" my big fat "CANCEL MEMBERSHIP" writing across the montly selection reply. I also just recently got sent Sum of All Fears and they automatically charged my card, despite me canceling on time and everything. Damn I'm pissed. I threatened to file a complaint with the BBB on the bill that came along with the Sum DVD if they don't credit my account and cancel my membership :disgust:. Hopefully they'll get it right this time. They suck butt.
