Woo. They have my DNA. Now they can figure out my Gender, physical characteristics, and the chances that I may get some diseases. Theres a WHOLE lot that the government can do with it.

Face it, DNA basically tells the government most what they already know. Hair, eye, skin color. All they use it for is to identify people. There is NOTHING personal on DNA that could be embarrassing. Unless you're a transvestite or something. DNA will not tell the government your favorite foods, or your secret love. As long as it involves aquick and easy methods, like a finger prick, cheek scrape etc, so that it is minimally invasive. Those finger pricks can somethings hurt alot...

we arent argueing what they can do now. its what they might be able to do with the DNA in 10-20 years.

if they start takeing it on arrest whats next is what worries me. are they going to take it for insurance reasons? work reasons? profiling? etc.

last thing i want is my insurance/work knowing that i might have the possiblity of getting cancer or whatever.

Ooooh this will make planting evidence or framing someone even easier than it is, I am sure.

EDIT: Imagine health insurance companies getting a hold of your 'possible' tendencies or health issues you may have.

What's that movie where the babies are born and they run the DNA through the machine and it gives like % to heart disease, age of death, and etc? Then the parents basically disown the 'inferior' one.
