Spoiler:

I liked the movie but in my opinion the ending was too predicable. I would like it if TC off'ed the lawyer , spared foxx, then got on the plane. The final scene would be the plane taking off.

If i am a hitman, I don't think I will walk into a club and start snapping bouncers' neck. Also, I won't stand straight up when I am reloading my gun.
When Cruise kills the electricity before he goes to kill the lawyer, he gave the lawyer chance to escape, dumb again.

And at the end, somehow Tom Cruise is able to chase them even though there were numerous routes they could go to.

Regarding Cruise's acting, I think he is trying too hard to create a "memorable moment". If i want to see dialogues inside a car, I will go rent my pulp fiction and watch Jules and Vincent.

My final criticism is why did Felix hire Tom cruise to do five hits in one day when Felix has a horde of goons in his command. I think it will be a lot safer to have 10+ mexican gangsters with mac10 then a five foot four shorty.

yes true TC should not have done that in the club .. but that stuff can happen in real life and people ususally are high/ or too offguard... but atleast one of the girls should of screamed when he what, killed atleast 3 people to get to the bad guy?

and the electricity.... TC did not know wheather she had been informed about the hitman .... usually if electricity is out dont u just stay inside and wait for it to comeback

watched it last night, liked it. my friends thought it was pretty good, but not great. guess they aren't used to the pacing in a michael mann film. i was content with the ending. the reason being is, mann had done something similiar with the ending of heat, and thats regarded as a great movie. so, go with what works. but this time, put a little twist of irony in it.

Why didn't the hitman off the lawyer when he was leaving the same building that she went into when she got out of the cab?

cause he hadn't seen his list yet..?

He did though, remember Jamie Foxx said he was "scoping" the building out in the beginning of the movie. He probably didn't kill her right then because it was too much of a crowd of people you can tell he was going to though the way the director had the little "evil" shot of Cruise looking at Jada Pinkett.

I don't understand how TC got shot at the end... Isn't he supposed to be some trained killer (2 to the chest, 1 to the head, i.e. the other guy that comments about O'Day's shooting in Executive Orders - Tom Clancy), whereas Max was unhurt?

Apparently it was a stroke of luck because the train lights were going on and off so I guess it was just free shooting and whoever hit who is what happened...pssh i dunno :p

ive heard every theory... vincent wasnt aiming to kill max (aiming for the middle of the door), his clip was empty from the start, a guardian angel swooped down and protected max... its a movie... i just accept that a bullet struck vincent in the chest, and that was lights out for him. pure luck i suppose.

Finally went to see it.

Well worth the admission imo.

I thought it was very well directed, & the acting was superb.

this movie rocked. i am very glad I saw it this past weekend! this is one of the better movies I have seen this summer, and I have probably seen 15 or so in the theatre. i just overall really enjoyed it.

i just wish people would stop putting down Jamie Foxx as a serious actor. most people think he sucks because they are used to seeing him on in living color or something. i personally think he is a great actor, and that he did a terrific job at this character. i really liked him in Any Given Sunday, and I thought he did even better in this movie. 4.5/5

I am adding it to my DVD collection. When I first heard of Jamie Foxx and TC together in a movie I said to myself please say it ain't so. But Foxx showed me a little something. Its tops so far for me this year with believe it or not I-Robot second. And I've seen them all just about.

kinda neat until the end, when cruises character goes totally stupid. cold blooded killer seeing a guy with a gun that isn't supposed to have a gun pointed at him let alone be there would just blow him away first. yeesh.

I enjoyed the film. I had a feeling it would be less action but I enjoyed it.

My bro hated it though. Too slow paced for him.

TC and Jamie Foxx did good.

yes it was slow paced at times, but that gave the movie character.
it had some nice twists and was definitely worth the ticket price.
