It looks like the snowflakes at fox news and others are offended by Colberts following statement
You have more people marching against you than cancer. You talk like a sign language gorilla that got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin's cock holster."

Sorry folks, you get zero latitude on being offended, because
I’ve gotta use some tic tacs, just in case I start kissing her,” Trump says....“And when you’re a star they let you do it,” Trump says....“Grab them by the pussy,” Trump says. “You can do anything

fox news is on the tv in the break room here and the feigned offense by their 'reporters' was laughable.

I thought it was funny. I've been watching Colbert and Trevor Noah and when I stop and think about it, it's incredible that comedians can roast the President of the United States without any fear of repercussions, so far at least. There are countries where this would be unthinkable. It does make me wonder if/when Trump will move against 1st amendment and if America will just accept it as new normal or rise up against it.

I think the outrage is more along the lines of being hypocrites. It's seems to be acceptable for Left leaning people to say any racist, homophobic, sexist, or xenophobic comment they wish as long as it's directed towards right leaning individuals.

When Colbert is the leading candidate of a party for the presidency I'll be appropriately outraged.

Also being chided by a network that has, apparently, the worst corporate sexual harassment and discrimination problem in recent memory as institutional policy is pretty fucking rich.

What part of his comments did you view as racist, homophobic, sexist, or xenophobic? I certainly didn't take that gay sex was bad from Colbert.

Conservatives always say they want society to be less politically correct. Now that you have your wish you're whining about it.

There is a good chance he may now. Trump has shown celebrity status is a good thing. There are fairly serious rumors Oprah will run, Kanye said it (laughable but who knows), and I *think* George Clooney.
Colbert understands the workings of PAC money. I wouldn't say its impossible.

Ignoring all the Trump non sense, above is what concerns me about last election and the obvious lack of any care about a candidate even remotely telling the truth.

So which one of these have been levied against Trump? Virtually all the criticism against him is about his behavior.

Or like the right wing M.O. are you just making shit up???

This reminds me of the time on Crossfire they went after Jon Stewart for not doing an in depth hard nosed interview with I think John Kerry at the time. That didn't end well for Crossfire.

Conservatives are good at dishing it out, not so good at taking it...

Aaaand, that is exactly why this feigned rage from current republican Trumpsters is so precious these days.

That has not been my experience. What I have seen is left leaning people call ignorant people ignorant in very colorful ways. From what I have seen, many progressives are passionate (with ugly words often times) for simple folk to educate themselves. I personally would like to see less selfishness and paranoia from the conservatives.

Conservatives are so very confused about religion, politics, economical responsibility and personal human rights that they continue to choose progressively ignorant leaders to get what they think they want because they can't and won't see the long term affects. They fuel their agenda with ignorance, cruelty and selfishness that can never and will never be for the betterment of the country... full of all kinds of different kinds of people with different minds, problems, economical status and personalities.

*Note I said nothing of race, sexuality, gender or culture. None of that matters. Ignorance is ignorance regardless. A scum bag is a scum bag.

I laughed at Colbert' s monologue. Trump is messed up. The Republicans should be the ones working toward removing him. By leaving him in office and supporting him they aren't just hurting those who don't support him. Every day they support him is another day they prove to the nation and the world at large that America thinks stupid is a righteous power to wield.

You are right. I know some very lovely women who could take offense to that remark.

I haven't watched Colbert in a long time, but I gotta say, that monologue was actually pretty funny. I'm surprised there are dipshits out there accusing Colbert of being homophobic with that cock holster joke. It's not even close to being homophobic. Besides, I thought those dipshits were supposed to be against political correctness? Oh, wait. When they become politically incorrect, it's fine. When the left does it, it's an outrage.

Also, a massive L-O-L at Fox News "outrage". A comedian making vulgar jokes is somehow worse than one of their reporters "allegedly" sexually assaulting his female co-workers and tried to keep a lid on it for more than several years. Just brings a whole new meaning to the word "glass cannon".

This is exactly it. If a conservative host said it, they'd be outraged. Liberal dude says it, it's ok. Same thing happens around here all the time.

It's not the first time for him, he's made racist comments in the past. Which are just fine because he's not a conservative. Typical hypocritical left.

People should be upset by the comment no matter which way they lean.

one big problem there brandonbullshit, what he said wasn't racist, homophobic, sexist or xenophobic.

the other big problem is that he is a comedian and he can joke about whatever the hell he wants.

Nah, you guys just don't like it when you aren't the only ones discarding "PC culture." You think it's your birthright, or something. You had convinced yourself that this is why you hate liberals, if only they would learn to not be PC! ...but really this still angers you. The fact is, you simply have need to hate some group of people that you don't understand, so you let your betters tell you who to hate, and for what reasons they deem appropriate.

as to the bolded: when?

that's rich considering you are one of the biggest hypocritical pieces of shit on this board. you can't even tell the difference between a President, a comedian and a journalist.

was that not-PC enough for you, you festering communist asshole?

All that comes to mind regarding Trump and Colbert is Colbert's smug comment in late 2015 that "You're not going to be president, alright? It's been fun. It's been great. But c'mon buddy."

Watching him say that then watching this monologue is satisfying.

I don't know if there's a threshold to civil war with the total deterioration of respect.

But what Colbert says about Trump-holster coincides with the respect I give Trump and all his supporters.

They're all lolly-gagging c***-suckers, and they all think, because they captured the Electoral College while continuing thereafter to spit in the faces of more than half the public, that we "owe" them respect for Trump's ["so-called" -- don't forget to use original Trumpisms] Presidency -- I mean presidency. With a little p and a lot of pee.

These are the feelings that the opposition or other third-party voters probably stuff and suppress. They WANT the system to work. They WANT votes to count. They BELIEVE in the collective wisdom of Common Man inspiration. But they inwardly, profoundly feel disgust every time so-called Ppresident Asshole appears on the TV.

We must bow down and respect the disgusting Filth in the White House and his First double-Red-star Ho-Lady and chief tongue-in-cheek plagiarist. Be-cause . . . . "We WON the election." Well, Pilgrim. My family has variously been in this country since 1690 and 1850. Trump from his grandfather is "just visiting" in comparison, and on a much wider field of view, his supporters have sold us all out and "down the river."

Now it comes down to things Trump has finally mentioned, as if the topic and issue is real: The Downfall of Beulah-Land, which they may now inwardly insist has risen again to hold court in various Sessions. Tie a Stars and Bars to your car's bumper, and drag it down the freeway, I say!

Kids? Ask your parents why they voted for Vladimir Trump the Cock-holster. And practice spitting on pictures of King Asshole himself. Let Slip the Dogs of War, I say, if this Scum is in office after 2025. If you ask me, that's waiting too goddam long.

It is sad that conservatives are so homophobic that they think any sexual reference to two men, must be a homophobic slur... SAD!
