Have been playing CoD5 for 3 days now and have completed the game upto the flying gunship level.
Apart from the fact that there is NO connection between the Pacific and Russian levels I think this is the best WW2 action game that I have played till date.
The game play is ABSOUTELY chaotic (just the way it should be IMO)...and the graphic's really hit home.
The one think that was missing in the COD series was the sheer brutality of war....
That really has been addressed here to a level which I thought deserved some praise.
Starting right off with the brutal torture and execution of a fellow soldier . . to the burning of the Jap soldiers using flamethrower . . . to the opening scene a la "Enemy at the Gates" . . . to the killing of surrendering German soldiers . . . to the part where YOU are given an option to execute 3 Germans . . either quickly by putting bullets into them . . . or using moltov coctail to burn them.
I found these scenes especially disturbing.
They are just incredibley executed to showcase that aspect of war.
The previous effort from TreyArch didnt go down too well BUT this I found just perfect.
I would highly recommend this to people who have not been TOTALLY jaded by WW2 action titles.
