I couldn't disagree with you more. COD4 was a spawn-killing, grenade-spamming fest. COD:WaW is a much more pleasurable mp experience for me.

It was an ok game. It's no CoD4, that's for sure, but it's a pretty fun campaign. It is far too short (I finished in two sessions totalling 5 hours). I would have been pissed if I paid for it, but I played my brother's copy.

The good
-Graphics are really nice
-Lots of action
-Classic CoD feel
-Molotov cocktails and double barreled shotgun are awesome
-Great voice acting (Keifer Sutherland)

The bad
-Weak weapon sounds
-Very, very short
-Disjointed campaign
-Keep getting stuck on level geometry and NPCs
-Tank controls are beyond awful. Seriously really, really, really bad
-Game takes control of the player too often

I haven't played MP yet.

the DEMO for this game sucks, compare to the real game, so some of the bad press is undeserved.

where's the demo? i can't find one.

eh... i dunno... people were talking about it here in another thread.

i posted in the wrong forum if it means anything. I mean the xbox360 version
cod4 was the mother of all mothers; cod:W@W is an orphan

If you think the previous CoD games were way too obviously scripted, cookie cutter shooters, and think the WW2 genre has been way overdone anyway, and think the series is the most overhyped batch of average shooters out there, any chance that person would like it?

lmao..

edit: whiner

You're trying like hell, but you're just not very good at it. I'm clearly positing a hypothetical situation, not making any statements. Hence the use of "if".

lol, hypothetical question my ass.

if that's a hypothetical question then I'm santa claus.

why don't you just get over yourself?

Give up. You were owned.

Heh, I only have one account chief. That poster is completely unrelated to me.

I thought it was kind of amusing he thought you were "owned" by that comment too. I made it more my speed to point out that vigorously arguing about anything on the internet is kind of pointless (See JPB's post above - he seems to get it).

What I think this indicates more than anything is the PCG forum's general distaste with your constant dislike of every game ever made for every reason. You're like that kid back in high school who acts superior to everyone because of his indier-than-thou music taste.

Apparently, the rest of us have the wrong stickers on our bookbags. So sad for you.

how do i sound superior by stating i don't like a game and ten giving valid reasons?
if anyone is trying to act superior, it's you and the other people who bash on me for not liking a game.

Your claim as to the reasons being "valid" is what would do that, obviously. Opinions are like assholes - you are one. HA HA HA! Just kidding. Calm down.

In seriousness, everyone else is always wrong - always - on the internet. You must preface everything with IMHO or "I think" or....or you are WRONG! Because SOMEONE DISAGREES!

Now, re-reference my previous post re: pointlessness of internet preference debates.

And quit whining about being bashed on. Whiner.

Forum topics on preference are big nerd circle jerks. If someone starts a thread on liking a game, it's so other people can come in and agree with them. It's some sad sub-form of validation. Same thing with a "game X sucks" thread. That's for people who want to help bash it. It's tribalism is all it is.

You just need to learn to place your thoughts correctly. If you disagree with a *thread* praising a game, you need to create a *new thread* bashing it. That's a place for you and your homies to hang out. You're taking your proverbial ball, and you're proverbially going home.

It's not that no one likes you, it's that you're messing up the point of the threads so often.

The single player is very good. It's the multiplayer I don't like. It's more arena orientated like the original Quake or UT2008 than COD4 which has front lines and vocal points. Some people like that more however so I guess it's just a matter of taste. Though I don't like real-world war games where you seem to be surrounded all the time or always miles away from your team mates. Multi-player is depended on yourself, so forget about your team. Of course if your team can't hit the back side of a barn, you will be more pressured to use a more strategic approach than a tactical one.

The spawning also does not make sense. You spawn where any one of your team mates are still living. Since it's arena based, this means anywhere on the map. Which means the minute you're spawned you're likely in a gang-bang you will have no time to position yourself or escape from.

As for the weapons, they're not as accurate or as dangerous as COD W@W, but they're not suppose to be. It's just getting over the fact you're in the 20th century and not the 21st and it's a something I have a resilience to overcome because I fell in love with COD4 which is a modern time war game.

My final word? It's Quake with WW2 weapons and COD 4 graphics.

it's not bad. seems a lot like CoD4 - they even had a sniper mission like in CoD4. Doesn't seem as polished as CoD4 but I think it's pretty good. It's definitely difficult. there seems to be few places to hide behind and when you do find one, you still seem to get hit because the enemies just come from all sides.

I like the variety of weapons but the weapon sounds are incredibly weak. they don't sound very loud or realistic. too many damn grenades and this is in SP!

I like the actual WWII footage video clips between missions.
