For those bashing the networks for their 9/11 coverage: I'd like to any of you twits try to not only keep your composure when your city is being blown up, and then get on air and report about it.

The 50,000 figure was an estimate of how many worked in the trade center on any given day. Never was quoted as how many were dead. Additionally, as a journalist, I'm never a fan of unsubstantiated material making it on the air, but in the midst of a disaster, it happens. Personally I'd rather have the information available to me and do some evaluation based on the evidence presented at a time like 9/11, but not everyone is capable of analysis....

FWIW, CNN here is not broadcasting anything from 9/11. I'm getting CNN international. No other stations are doing it either.

Funny that. I'm watching CNN international in Belgium and it's about sod-all else.

In all honesty I completely agree with you.

But I'm mostly posting to award you with the most creative spelling of beaucoup I've ever seen!

Hah... I think 99% of the people who use that word don't know how to spell it - and probably have never even seen it in print

Not to mention people spelling voila as whallaa!

Youreeka!

CNN showing some other "developing stories" right now... Long Beach airport closed becauase of potential explosives... and some "noxious gas" in Van Nuys.

EDIT>> only read the title... thought it was cnn tv.

Ohmygosh why would anyone wanna watch it over again. TV was blocked off for like a whole week when 9/11 happend and its footage was all that we could watch.

I watched like the first hour of the recorded coverage since I never got the chance to see it before. Overall, I am quite impressed with their bandwith! I am at work, and don't have access to a TV so its nice to be able to watch the coverage of today's events.
