Its been said numerous times... I mean at one point you have to realize it's one self that needs adjusting, realigning. How can this one guy keep surprising me.

Its wild.

@FelixDeCat @imported_tajmahal , care to comment?
He's a narcissist. He is always right and believes that. He's lived his life this way so long, it's just him. It's why in ways I think of him as harmless because it should be obvious to anyone. I assume everything he says is a lie or probably a lie because the only truth to him is what his mind told him that day. If he doesn't admit he's wrong, he's never wrong. A good liar that is mostly truthful and is good at hiding when he isn't is the type of person I'm a lot more wary of. If I was in a conversation with him I'd agree and then get away as soon as possible. There's no point in attempting to argue anything.

He attempted a coup and almost succeeded. All he needed was for Mike Pence to sign off.

Harmless? The guy willing to launch a war with Iran to stay in power?

He should be harmless because no one should be fooled by him… yet they are en masse.
You win a cookie. Correct. And correct. He was harmless as a person and should/would remain harmless if everyone saw that. I thought that part was inferred by logic but I guess I need to explain it too.

Joseph Goebbels should have been harmless but we know how well that tuned out.

Did it occur to you a group of people where half believe Barack Obama was born in Kenya, the logic part of what's left of their brain is dead along with the morality lobe?

But guys, Trump wouldn't be giving those no good college students debt relief using MY money. So I have to ask myself what's the moral thing to do? Go with guy who lied and kinda got 100's of thousands of Americans dead from lying about COVID, is giving away our state secrets weakening our country and tried an self coup, or support the dem who is stealing my money to give it those who don't deserve it. I mean they signed for the loans and they could have decided to work a job a Mcdonalds to pay for their tuition instead of taking out 10,000s of dollars of loans. I mean BOTHSIDES here. But what really pushes it over is HOW MEAN P&N is so I know whom I'm supporting! /s

Your Money? So of what might go to student loans, what a penny? I want to know what percent of that 2 Trillion dollars is interest. High Rates & Capitalizing interest on people just getting started is predatory and immoral. Especially when these people were "groomed" their whole lives that you will be nothing without a college degree.

A helpful LegalEagle video on how long Trump's prison sentence could be if convicted on all counts:

In short: based on circumstances, the recommended sentencing is between 17.5 and 22 years. Now, Cannon isn't completely held to those recommendations, but she could have serious trouble trying to let Trump off lightly.

In fact, LegalEagle suggests that Cannon may use the sentencing guidelines as a defense against conservative critics — look, I had no choice!

Many of us have been burned way too often to assume Trump is going to prison for a long while, but Cannon may well have trouble giving Trump a light sentence. He could spend the rest of his life in prison.

This is interesting and notable. Now Trump basically says he was lying to the people in the room at Bedminster.

While of course Trump lies constantly it’s rare for him to admit he was/is lying. The only other time I can think of was the Access Hollywood tape. It means he knows he is in deep shit.

I mean, if they've got his assistant's laptop and devices, who apparently recorded all of his conversations with reporters, and also her testimony, it's not like anything Trump argues in denial is going to stick.

I still wonder about the use/intent of leaking the recording now, instead of during the trial. Yes, I'm sure there is much, much more than this in the pockets of the DoJ, but I really can't see this floating out there now as a benefit for the prosecution. If more leaks are to come, I suspect the Trump judge is going to push an argument that there is no chance of a fair trial anywhere, and will try to dismiss.

I think that, as with Alito/Thomas and Hodges, this leak came from Team Treason in order to subvert justice.

But when a mistrial happens, does it go back to the same judge? Or can change of venue be requested?

Nah. First, leaking the audio of a conversation contained in the indictment is meaningless and even if she did she will lose on appeal. People need to stop inventing ways in their head for Trump to get out of this.

Trump’s only way out is a Republican winning in 2024 and pardoning him. Legally he is completely fucked.

For those who suddenly got their panties in a bunch over their just discovered 2-tiered justice system, I suggest this is where concerns should be placed.
