There was a vending machine at my school where I bought crystal pepsi daily. It was often sold out. I loved it. Damn shame. They should ride the wave of retro sodas and do a run of it.
Never had crystal pepsi, I wouldn't hesitate in trying it though.
I miss Mountain Dew Pitch Black, Pepsi Blue, or Sobe's Mr.Green though I'm probably the only person who like them...
I really miss New York Seltzer. All the flavors were clear.

My father has a six pack of Miller Clear sitting in his basement. I was in middle school when the whole clear phase happened. I'm old.
I don't understand the connection... if anything you should be thinking of this
for those of us who grew up in the 90s:

I grew up in the 90's and I don't remember any advertising for clear pepsi. In fact I'm pretty sure I never drank it even once. I didn't drink much soda at all back then in fact.
Now Orbitz I remember. It looked gross at the time. I imagine it would be like drinking bubble tea though. It was made by the same people who made Clearly Canadian. Another clear soda but it came in fruit flavours: peach, blackberry, dark cherry, and raspberry. Subway used to carry it, then it all but disappeared. They still make it but I have no idea where to buy it.
When I was in high school they had a vending machine dedicated solely to Surge. It was 25 cents. Nobody drank anything else.
I'm pretty sure all colas are mostly clear before they add the "caramel color"...
really? it seems weird, because my entire life I've associated the coke/pepsi color with the taste. it'd be kind of freaky to drink a clear soda and have it taste like a normal pepsi/coke.
fwiw I wasn't around when pepsi crystal was; if they brought it back us younguns will probably buy it just to see what it's like. they could do a limited release like Mt. dew does for some of its flavors.
