On a somewhat related note, anyone try Pepsi Throwback and think the citric acid taste is a bit overpowering? I'm thinking maybe the normal corn syrup version masks that flavor a bit. I don't normally drink Pepsi, though, I prefer Coke.

The Mountain Dew throwback, however, was perfect. Definitely prefer it to regular; it has a less sticky aftertaste.

Can we charge Coca Cola HQ? Pepsi sucks. :p Unless I can score some free Mountain Dew - I love MD. :)

I like Coca Cola more anyways, so fine. We storm their HQ. As soon as everyone gets enough motivation. When that will be, I do not know.

I grew up in the 90's and I don't remember any advertising for clear pepsi. In fact I'm pretty sure I never drank it even once. I didn't drink much soda at all back then in fact.
i remember it vaguely...ive always been a coca cola guy so i wasnt remotely interested in pepsi stuff.

They could it as the pepsi that won't color your teeth. They all the beauty nuts will buy it. Combine it with splenda for the health nuts.

I actually liked Pepsi Crystal a lot when I had it. I bought a ton of it when it was available.

I remember the stuff. It didn't really taste better or worse to me. Just like every other carbonated sugar water on the market. Maybe my pallet wasn't as refined back then as it is today though.

I used to live near a Pepsi wholesale distributor and would go in once or twice a year and buy several 5 gallon cylinders of various products. They had a display in their lobby of all the old Pepsi products and packages. There was a bottle of Pepsi Clear in there, but unfortunately it was a 2 liter and not a glass bottle. It hadn't been touched in over a decade and had shrunk/shriveled to bout 2/3 the original volume. No one bothered replacing it (if they even could).
