5800X3D is Zen3

i have a 7800X3D but benchmark still crashes for me on load

I am in the middle of swapping motherboards so this CPU (9700X) is paired with Wraith Spire at the moment. I assume it hurts the MT score quite a bit compared to a more competent cooler. Memory 32GB/CL36.



Edit: Realized the bclk was set at 102(!). The test is so boring that I do not feel like running it again though.

Edit again: bclk 100 did not make a significant difference. The cooler has to be the culprit.

I do not understand why the benchmark cannot be made more entertaining. During the single-core test I thought the system was frozen.

how much RAM does your system have? make sure its not paging

I have the same, with Windows 10, Ryzen 7 9700X on stock, and Radeon rx6800....

Still haven't managed to run it?
I've got an app.error 1000, in kernelbase.dll, Win10 22H2 19045.6456

Try downloading benchmark again, if you downloaded it early on, there is a chance you have older version, as Maxon took down download page for some time yesterday to update it.

My office HP AIO PC with AMD Mendocino with 4 x Zen2 and 16GB 64-bit LPDDR5 running Windows 11 25H2.

My benchmarking is running fine; Zen2 is considered low-end by today standard and yet no issues.

yep same error , WIn 10 22H2 as well

Try downloading benchmark again, if you downloaded it early on, there is a chance you have older version, as Maxon took down download page for some time yesterday to update it.

will download again and sha them to see if download has changed


edit: yep hash is different , will see how it goes.

Okay, so I booted from the external NVMe drive into Win11 and the benchmark started and the CPU and GPU tests are passed.

Maybe it's just me, but on Win10, I didn't see the "Loading modules", only "Loading plugins 100%", after which it crashed.

Assuming 9070xt runs at 3GHz, it would mean cca 8% compute performance increase per CU from rdna2 to rdna4...

To get an idea of its compute performance i'd check reviews with a lot of relevant test, like Phoronix or Level1techs.

Since Redshift uses HIP, I'll stick with AMD's own framework...

Update from my ASUS Vivobook 16 with Ryzen 9 365 using Performance mode:


Nice increase for MT and some increases for the rest of the scores.
