At the expense of a critically important Senate seat? Yeah, right . . . But for the Tea Party Express (and particularly Sarah Palin), this seat would have gone to the GOP, quite likely taking the Senate with it.

I don't think this story is all that damning - mostly just embarrassing - but I don't see any reason to think it's not true. The pictures appear to be legit, and show that something happened 3 years ago.
