I have nothing wrong with science, just don't believe in all of it.

I (probably obviously) haven't researched the Big Bang too much. I don't understand how matter can come from an explosion of nothing...and how did the explosion happen? Where did it come from?

I honestly think it takes more faith to believe in the Big Bang then to believe in the Bible.
Ok who created God then?

At some point the logic is unavoidable. "Something" came from "Nothing."

how do you know that your logic is the right logic? a long time ago people knew the earth was flat

Jonathan Goode (grade 7) applied findings from many fields of science to support his conclusion that God designed women for homemaking: physics shows that women have a lower center of gravity than men, making them more suited to carrying groceries and laundry baskets; biology shows that women were designed to carry un-born babies in their wombs and to feed born babies milk, making them the natural choice for child rearing; social sciences shows that the wages for women workers are lower than for normal workers, meaning that they are unable to work as well and thus earn equal pay; and exegetics shows that God created Eve as a companion for Adam, not as a co-worker."

WELL DONE! Inarguable proof!!

I won't know for sure until I come face to face with God or evolve into something else.

It's called faith :)

Ah, here's where MY Christian beliefs fit in. You ask "how did it happen, where did it come from?" my answer: God. Simple enough IMO.

the problem is that is your answer for anything you dont understand

Please oh please tell me that was satyrical.

There are some people at my gf's church who are actually like that. It's frightening. I have no problem if they believe in God; it's just as possible as anything else, but to completely ignore evolution and stuff like that is pure close-mindedness.

As for the Big Bang theory, Christians ask, "Where did the universe come from?" When atheists say, "We dont know," they say "Well, only God could have created the universe." But I ask, where did God come from? It's the same question. Neither side can explain where what they believe came from.

I thought this was going to be a link to that Landover Baptist church parody site.

Some religious people are just scary in their own ignorance.

The irony of this is that biologists have proven that inoganic matter present shortly before the existence of life is capable of creating amino acids, the building blocks of life.

The reason Landover is such a successful spoof site is that it plays on people's perceptions of Christians rather than any true picture of them. People are ready to jump on the bandwagon and applaud anything that matches their preconcieved notions.

Pretty good spoof. Took me a minute to figure it out. Of course we have a flame war about religion here now, but OT was never very tolerant anyway.

1st Place: "Using Prayer To Microevolve Latent Antibiotic Resistance In Bacteria"
Eileen Hyde and Lynda Morgan (grades 10 & 11) did a project showing how the power of prayer can unlock the latent genes in bacteria, allowing them to microevolve antibiotic resistance. Escherichia coli bacteria cultured in agar filled petri dishes were subjected to the antibiotics tetracycline and chlorotetracycline. The bacteria cultures were divided into two groups, one group (A) received prayer while the other (B) didn't. The prayer was as follows: "Dear Lord, please allow the bacteria in Group A to unlock the antibiotic-resistant genes that You saw fit to give them at the time of Creation. Amen." The process was repeated for five generations, with the prayer being given at the start of each generation. In the end, Group A was significantly more resistant than Group B to both antibiotics.

I thought the above was pretty funny. Anyways, I know it's a spoof but yes, there are some people out there like this.

more reasons to hate Macs:

new Macs are based on Darwinism! While they currently don't advertise this fact to consumers, it is well known among the computer elite, who are mostly Atheists and Pagans.

middle of page here.

but wait, there's more:

If you are using a new Macintosh running OS X then you probably have these "daemons" on your computer, hardly something a good Christian would want! This clearly illustrates that not only is Macintosh based on Darwinism, but Darwinism is based on Satanism.

yes, it is important to point out that there are actually rational christians out there

Rational Christians...on ANANDTECH?? BWAHAHAHAHHA. Yeah, right. You must not have seen this thread:
