Until that is accomplished, the West - and the Far East as well! - has no reasons to consider the Islamic world as being more than what transpires from my earlier Syriana quote. The rest is just words...

Many people here know that I am Canadian (by choice), pan-European, atheist (or at the very least "secular humanist"), occasional critic of current American policies and socio-economic-cultural models... but if it ever boils down to a war between Middle East and West, I will fight to my last drop of blood on the side of the West, and I'll die, if necessary, defending this society against Islamo-fascists and what they stand for.
Here is where I draw my line in the sand. Be very careful, those of you willing to cross it.
I believe the Pope is expressing a similar feeling.
