Rock on FB. More people need to step up like you did. There are too many stupid people raising kids these days for everyone to just mind their own business and ignore abuse.

There is Children's Nyquil that contains no alcohol. Adult Nyquil does contain alcohol.

It does say on the label that for children under a certain age, ask your doctor....and he/she will tell you to GET SOME FREAKING CHILDREN'S NYQUIL.

Plus, this idiot lady said it helped the child sleep.....no, it helped drug her child so she didn't have to deal with him. She never said the kid was sick.

Pac - you are exactly right. The child was not sick and ate a healthy meal. She just chose to drug him. A few minutes after giving it to him he couldn't even hold his head up. I would have called CPS but I didn't have their name and they were leaving.

I hope she changes. Idiots like her are a dime a dozen.

you make me sick for wanting to call CPS on a family you dont know based on ONE incident.

FYI if i knew with out a doubt that a child was being beaten NOT spanked or being sexually abused your damn right i would make the call. But before i made that call i would make absoutely sure the allegations are correct and true. I could not live with myself if i was wrong and a family was put through the CPS hell and split up.

so again before you call CPS on somebody you better make damn sure you are right and not reacting to a knee jerk emotion.

also, if that couple calls your boss about this you may be out of a job.

1st - The child's welfare is above anything the parents go through with CPS.

2nd - CPS has changed seriously changed in the last few years.

3rd - No, you don't wait until you see it, if you suspect it that is enough.

4th - Its not for you to decide...its CPS!

that is some of the most brainwashed crap i have seen posted. so if i see a bunch of bruises on a girl and I call CPS and turn the parents in for abuse based on those bruises alone? and after CPS turns everybodys life upside down it turns out the girl plays competive sports?

i know all about being a parent, i have 3 kids and where i get my opinion from is from seeing a friend and his wife of of ours get totally owned by CPS on false reporting. Ive seen first hand on what that does to a family and that crap stays on your record even proven false. so unless you know for a FACT that a kid is getting abused keep your mouth shut and quit sticking your nose in other peoples affairs.

I also saw his head start to tilt a few minutes later and he could barely hold it up.

Drug abuse, child abuse, child neglect and possibly child death. Oh, yeah, but I am supposed to be sure... I saw it big boy...i meant little chicken!!!!!!

Although its nice that you spoke up & I agree that drugging a child with adult cold medicine is flat out wrong, I have to question how much actual experience you have in dealing with CPS if you think they do a fair & equitable job of investigating familys accused of abuse.

I agree with Citrix that calling them on the parents based on the one incident that you witnessed would be irresponsible & an over-reaction on your part ... further I think you need to calm down.
