1.) Making outright threats (even implied threats) toward someone over the internet is lame. If you can't handle a debate/argument without feeling the need to make threats because someone said something you didn't like then you need to go to the kiddie forum and leave this debate for the adults to handle.

2.) Guns are objects which people can use for good (see OP's article) or evil (take a look at Chicago's crime rate and homicide rates amongst young black males vs that of other racial groups). Blaming a gun over the stupid choices people make in life is about as lame as someone making internet threats (see number 1 above for reference). Guns do not determine people's culture or societal values and they play no role in the stupid decision making processes of people who decide to commit a crime.

People are the ones who contribute and shape cultures and/or societies via conscious decisions (or lack thereof) which they make in their everyday lives. Now because of the insane amount of gun violence everywhere, stories like this can be nothing but a footnote in the daily paper. However what you are failing to realize is that if somehow we could remove all the handguns so that even the criminals couldn't get one, the number of crimes wouldn't change. The only thing that would change is the weapon of choice used by the criminals in the commission of their crimes. Guns don't commit crimes, people commit crimes. The epidemic of violence and other criminal acts has very little to do with guns when the issue is examined more deeply and things such as cultural and social values along with other statical trends are put into the mix. Of course since you didn't get that original point that Bobberfett was trying to make I doubt you'll grasp the same point when I make it as well.
