If you are NITROX certified, you can go to most any scuba store and pick up a tank of 36% oxygen (air is 21%). If the shop has the right equipment, they can even mix you up a batch of 40%.

I would say to try diver's alert network for their O2 tanks. But then once it is empty you have to get it refilled. And you can't (at a reputable place) unless you have the proper papers telling you can.

Got any medic friends?

Actually, the same former roommate told me about injecting an IV bag of saline as a fast cure, but I'm not feeling like sticking myself with a needle while I'm hung over... I can see some bad consequences to that.

*My former roommate is a No-Go, and they had to practice giving IVs as training, so he and his (then current, and also NG's) roommates practiced on each other when they were hung over.

Welding supply shop.

roughly how much are they there (first to get the tank, then to get it refilled)?

I got a small one from the local welding store...750 cubic feet I think for about 50 bucks. it costs less than 10 to get it refilled. Oxygen is highly flammable as well

Yeah, my physics teacher in high school did the little electrolyse water experiement, but the night before he did it large scale and collected the resulting gases in two large garbage bags (he mixed them prior to class, too). Then he took us outside, and lit them up. To describe the picture, think of the Hindenburg, but smaller scale, and faster, since when you burn hydrogen in an rather oxygen concentrated area...

You have to take the DAN O2 Provider course which is ~$75 - although you might need a SCUBA qualification in order to take the class...

Hmmm...I can get one from work. I work in the surgery dept. We use them when we have to transport patients. :). I am tempted to try this.
