I buy 4x sonic from shop4tech reguarly, they may ran out of stock and so decide to send me these high quality media as a substitute. In the past, these media code were longten001, must001, aml, vdspmab01... sometime in pk of 200,300,100,500,400.. so many numberous orders I have made.
so yes I gotten very lucky this time, all the spindles smells very good too, like perfume unlike the average sonic brand I use to get did not smell good.
They are not manufacturer, they buy from manufacturer that produces these media.
The user who said fake have problems burning them at speed that the media is rated at based on their burner but I do not experience this problems. Their is a difference so don't assume all are fake unless you can verify it yourself.
Maybe you want to encourage me to pay more for it and to discourage others from getting this hot deals as well. Whatever your motive is, it's pointless. We all want to save and have good quality media to burn from a reputable reseller that just wouldn't send people fake. if they did, then the taiyo yuden in another thread is also fake.

none burned correctly at 12x using the TYG02 code hack, the media code editor for nec 3520a from http://www.cdfreaks.com/
I was able to burn it to 100 percent sometime but when reading it back, coaster at 50 percent everytime! so the media code do what they do, they reveal their true manufacturer! Nuff said.

I have bought these and I cannot complain at all. For the price I was quite happy and I burn them with my Lite on. Only complaint I have is now that I have a Epson R200 printer I wish they were printable

Those are thermal printable, they won't work on an injet printer.

Those are thermal printable, they won't work on an injet printer.
I put lables on the thermals and non printables I have and stick them in the old R200 and print directly onto them that way. Doesnt come out at good as real printable dvd/cd's but it beats having to set up the sheets to print. Found yesterday a deal on some legacy ink jet printables (100) for $25 shipped so these may be shelved till I run out of the ones comming.
Maybe I have a defective burner and not realised it. thanks for the headsup. it is dead by now lol. in the trashcan due to out of warranty, already a years old from newegg. no wonder my white printable from shop4tech aren't burn well either vs my nec 2510a.
I guess this is one hot deals for those who are wise, not think taiyo yuden rules the worlds or thinks everything else sucks because they have a batch of bad media from some crap company. most retail brand name aren't better then generic, that's a laugh.
Most of my burned stuff are thrown away after I am tired of it, there's so much stuff on the internet that you'll never have time to back to watch old stuff again for the 2nd or 3rd time.
I have a defective liteon this whole time and not realised it! It would sometime give coaster on burns, says illegal disc and f**ksup my blank media making it next to useless. ive never had a dvd coaster.... out of like maybe the 200 or so ive burnt but i have had skips/pauses near end of some dvds...

I am wise because I have bought name brand and had them screw up and then I have bought tottaly cheap as hell media and had no problems. I have learned in my life time not to be suckered in to the name branding. Most of the time they never made it some cheap a$$ company did and slapped thier mega brand name on it.
So with media this cheap I buy it and if it works (havent had one cheap set of media fail it was always my burner) it works for me because I save a ton.
some people are anti-generic media, just their opinions. but if they cannot find brand name that are as cheap, what is the point? its a 100-200 percent difference in price.
btw you should order 600 or 1200

imagine 600 dvd's for only 48.00 shipped. nice! i would continue to buy from them in the future as i have 1000 atm + another 500 from shop4tech that are TYG02 LMAO. so it'll be awhile before I order more. call me nuts but I am addicted to burning dvd's for fun.

most brand name such as memorex are crap media even worst then generic media. I have had a few that would coaster out of a batch of 10 pk, that is so sad. I paid like 6.99 for it too. It was 4x too from wal*mart, stores that sells garbage for less. I later found out it was some cmc substandard media from china. ugh, aren't 99.5 percent stuff being sold in wally are china products?
most people are poor and they would be a fool to pay premium prices for generic media with a big fancy name slapped on top of it. retail stores sucks because all they do is rip people off so they can make huge profits. They sell 8x media that are hacked 4x media to burn at 8x which gives poor burn and coaster quite often as well. We heard so many horror and all had to do with brand name generic not the generic we buy onlines. What a coincidence?

all looks good except for your last statement. Some dvds you can actually visually see bubbles, scratches, and wavy lines around the edge of the dvd. If your gonna tell me that a bubble has no effect on a laser passing through it thats fine... My burner is a "better" one.

I only buy from them cause it was cheaper. the white thermal printable are better quality plus occasionally I get lucky and are being given even better quality media such as AML, Must 001, Longten 001 or TYG02 [high quality] will even do 16x.
Most of their media are a little over priced, I would buy whatever is cheapest. I am bargain shopper and that's my specialty. They don't do volume discount either like shop4tech, another drawback.

thetechgeek have lost me as a customer, i'm not paying same price for less quality media then shop4tech. The AML, Longten 01, Must 01, tyg02 are good quality white printable media and it easier to write on too. the only crap media I've got from shop4tech are vdspmab01, they are like silver top leaddata01 and skc co.,ltd. Only burns reliablely at 4x and not a guaranteed qualityburn on majority of it meaning will be unreadable after a few weeks or a month. Great for temporary usage such as movies, tv eps you want to dispose of after seeing it for a few times.
Althought I have 1000 atm, it will be used up in less then 6 months. I burn disc for fun I don't burn them to keep forever like most do. nuff said.
