I certainly hope they don't win the death penalty for Robinson, that would be appalling. For one thing, the whole nation's ablaze with consternation concerning what this is all about. I don't doubt he pulled the trigger. But killing Robinson won't help clear up the craziness one damn bit.

I'm hoping for more than that. I hope they blow the case because of their own incompetence and desire to please Dear Leader and it gets dismissed because they violated his rights.

This has nothing to do with wanting to excuse Kirk's shooter, but I want their entire narrative blown. People who do what Robinson did should be tried, convicted and sentenced.

I can only guess that George Soros is Emmanuel Goldstein here, given the sheer amount of hate directed his way for decades.

I hope so too but figure that's a total long shot, excuse the pun please.

I watched a video yesterday in which David Pakman repeatedly said the shot was from 200 feet. Other than that absurdity I have seen/heard 150 yards to 200 yards, 175 yards among them. I figure the last is probably the better estimate.

I also think that the gun was fired virtually simultaneously when Kirk finished uttering his last word, "violence." It takes about 1/2 second for a 30 .06 bullet to travel 200 yards.
 
Will be curious what the upcoming EO will have to say on the matter. I fully expect it to be unconstitutional, but we've all witnessed how little that means this year.

And every sycophant he hired into positions of power are required to lie their assess off in support of his lies. This is the reason why his underlings behave so irrationally, so overly dramatic, so overreactive to criticisms being launched their way. It takes that kind of emotionally hair raising spectacles to sell those lies of theirs.

In turn, it affects Trump's MAGAts in the same emotionally driven way. Their hoax accusations and conspiracy theories are always devoid of any demonstrably proven evidence to support their baseless claims. This because facts don't matter to them when to begin with, the sole purpose of their slinging lies and disinformation is to hide the facts of any matter that doesn't fit their twisted narrative and/or exposes how wholly unpopular their agendas and policies are.

This whole Republican experience is one that's exclusively dealing with the conundrum they've been confronted with where their corporate masters are having to convince their rank and file working class voters that their leaders are working for them and their interests when they're doing just the opposite. And what a bang up job they've being doing in this regard.
