Charlie Kirk shot in the neck during Utah debate and has now passed.

The kid shot a man down in front of his family because he didn't like the words Kirk said, he needs to die for that.

When this happened I looked and looked and could not find any sources saying his wife and children saw it happen.

Now, after more than a week I still can't find any. Snopes agrees. What reputable sources are you using for that information?

@Greenman reputable source? You're kidding right?

I never mentioned public, it's fine if they do it behind closed doors.
The rest is simple vengeance. The kid shot a man down in front of his family because he didn't like the words Kirk said, he needs to die for that. There has to be a trial, but he admitted to his gay lover that he planed and committed the crime, so the verdict appears to be almost a formality.
What a weird old bigot you appear to be. Fucking boomers and their weird obsession with the death penalty as well. Convict him, lock him up for life and save the tax payers millions.

Fucking disgusting.
(Not the birthday overlap, just the "day of remembrance", period)
Designating a “Day of Remembrance” is not disgusting, as long as no one outside federal property is ordered to fly flags at half staff or do anything else.

But I’d say this is a disgusting grift of our taxpayer dollars: https://www.foxnews.com/us/hundreds...enter-memorial-honor-his-unmatched-legacy.amp

Why does Charlie Kirk deserve what amounts to a state funeral funded by taxpayers? He never swore an oath to publicly serve and never held any office (transition team don’t count.)

These same people who lionize Kirk are the same ones that tear down memorials for Emitt Till

A day of remembrance for Charlie Kirk is disgusting.

Yeah, word was that Kirk's widow had not told the 3 YO daughter (I suppose the older of the two) about it, said (or was going to say) something about daddy being with Jesus.

Once again can you point us to your outrage and calls for a firing squad for the person who assassinated Minesota lawmakers?

WTF. No way in this world the US Senate unanimously did that. X links don't work for me anymore, although I never cancelled my account. I get messages that javascript is disabled on my browser, which it isn't. Anyway, I don't miss X. I only go there if linked, e.g. here.
Unanimous consent of having 2 lone Republican senators in the room in the middle of the night.

Everything I can find indicates yes, the spineless cowards in the Senate did. Turns out the spinless ones were the cowards passing it under cover of night, alone.
The House displayed a little more gumption

On Friday, the House also approved the resolution, despite 96 Democrats declining to support it.

Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, whose husband Paul was the victim to political violence himself, was among the 22 Democrats who walked out without voting on the Kirk resolution, but did vote on the short-term government funding bill. Four Republicans also skipped the vote.

ABC News good enough?

Happy Celebrating a Racist Day
A wonderful person I used to know out of the blue told me one day: There's no way the whites can make up to the blacks for what they did to them.

I figure all they can do is not be racist. I think of a favorite song every day, that includes the line "sanity is a full time job."

Why would this vote require a quorum?
Senate rules are funny. If I recall the specifics, someone acting as the president pro tempore of the Senate can call the session into order and assume there is a quorum if there are no objections, and then someone can have something passed by unanimous consent. It's basically how they keep the Senate in session without a formal recess. But under the typical rules and norms, no one seems to pass bs like this in the middle of the night with one of these sessions. It's very fitting that it was Tuberville and Scott doing it, some of the dumbest and crookedest in the Senate.

This one has been hitting hard for me lately.
