Its usually better to make up a story beforehand, then work to make it halfway true.

Example, spend enough time at applebees so friends can say they saw you there. Also, check up on closing times and such. You know, the details. Cuz its the details that make or break ANY story.

ALWAYS make up your aliby before hand. I learned this with petty stuff when i was like 12, such as listening to CD player in bed, always decided where to stash it quick if i heard the rents comin up the stairs...

I know; they were together for a year and she has her tubes tied so you can imagine there was a bit of unprotected sex, but thankfully they were using condoms lately according to him
She had her tubes tied? How old is she?

27 w/ 2 kids, divorced (not his)

Yes, I'm trying to keep her from taking her back (which he won't I'm almost sure), he said its ok to post a pic so I'll have one in 1 sec (non nude though sorry)

Say it was a saturday and they close at 1 (the day he called her), and you guys call applebees on sunday and ask them what time they close, which happens to be when they close at 11.

Anyway, if its true, screw her mom.

No we accounted for it, we called the various applebees in our area and they all close at 11pm on weekdays (the day it happened)

just a question....

How do you know that she did not leave the phone there and some workers got a hold of it? The place might have closed at 11PM but the workers would still be there cleaning up and doing sidework... if she called the place, after closing and asked for her phone... they would most likely let her pick it up... even after closing. You friend left her a message and did not actually speak to her so she might be pissed off that he did not trust her and wont call him back.

Not saying this is what happened... but is it possible?

No matter how you "spell" it, it is still wrong. We warned the members about calling women this word, and now you have won a 2 week vacation.

Watchful Mod

Just curious... is there a genital slur you can call a man that gets one a vacation as automatically as this word does?

Why does a couple in a supposedly monogamous relationship use condoms when one of them is incapable of having children?

They did on and off, she made them start using again, perhaps because she actually was sleeping with someone else, who knows

And they waited around for 2 hours after closing for her to come back for it? And Applebee's sounds like a club after closing? It sounds highly unlikely that the girlfriend is innocent.

No, because Applebees closed at 11pm, and he last called at around 12am (1 hour later), and the same guy answered with music and chatter in the background

That's the obvious conclusion but one never knows; I'd bet on that being it of course though

no, i am not saying that they waited for her. i know a lot of places that will still have employees on the premises for 2 hours after closing. because they close at 11PM, get everyone out by 11:30ish... then they have to clean their stations, roll their silver and do their sidework. that can take 1.5 hours more times than not.

i am not saying she is innocent. i dont know her, i was not there... but from reading the op, i am wondering if it is possible.

It would mean that whoever answered was in Applebees from at least 11pm - 12am with full background chatter and music going.

If they were employees who found it, it would mean that they were being rude as hell and playing on the phone rather than saying they found a lost phone...

Possible but highly improbable IMO

Besides he thinks he heard her voice in the background the first time.

In my opinion she was out doing what(who)ever, was drunk, had her stuff out and was sloppy; then called later, still drunk/tipsy and borked the alibi

Here's a better idea...If you want to be with someone else so bad, end your current relationship. And spend all that effort & thinking you would have used on lying, to make your new one work:roll:
Better that he found out now. And OP, do your best to make sure he doesn't take her sorry ass back.
I have a better idea. Pay attention to what people are ACTUALLY talking about (like storytelling advice for example) and dont bother trying to look cool and moral in front of strangers.

Oh, and:

Actually I totally agree with ktehmok.

I'm only 23 but when I am in a relationship (been in 2 fairly serious ones) I have not cheated and believe that to be the correct way to behave

I posted a pic of her on page 2 if anyone still cares btw

going out to a club and lying about it isn't cheating

I'd be upset if my SO (currently 3 years and going) went somewhere and then told me something else but I wouldn't automatically assume she cheated on me.

Cheating is defined individually I guess; going out would not be for me - kissing is pushing it - and sleeping with someone else definately is :p

True, there is more to it, the main thing is that he left a message saying he knows she wasn't at applebees and she better call him back to discuss it and she hasn't after 2 days so I think that's a fair answer.

IMO she was a bad bet anyway, very unstable and manipulative

yeah, I had thought there'd be more to this story than just her spending the night dancing :)

and giving ultimatums to a SO is a definate way to end a relationship quickly!

Dude I don't know if he left her an ultimatum or what

I think he basically told her that Applebees closes at 11pm, and they need to talk about it
