Case List for 8800GTX/GTS

Just got everything in today and my 8800GTX fits in my GIGABYTE 3D AURORA . I was a little concerned, even with it being a full tower, but yup, no problems.

I love this case too...plenty of space and it's built with water cooling in mind

Awesome thread, guys. Wonderful idea. We suggested to NV that they ought to have such a list themselves.

I have the 3D Aurora myself, and the GTX was a damn tight fit, but it did go after a few minutes of sweating and removing a cable management thingy that I'd stickied right behind the PCIe slot.

ISA VIDEO CARDS...... YOUR COUSINS, WELCOME HOME~!!

Ten years from now, these 8800's will become e-waste. We will have something like the:

Geforce H-44,000 RSX

=12GB of Qaud_Data RATE (QDR) multi burst trigate edition_VRAM_5GHz mem clock
=240 storm_line_pixel shaders with full XXE_2 support
=6 GHz quadcore_coreclock
=trio_silicon wafer with 15nm process
=cooler: Zalman Special _ liquid nitrogen contained heatsink and silent fan
=PSU required: 8xRail volt ramps with 800w PSU minimum

anyway.... here's what nVidia has on their page to make the 8800's look good!

Hello

I have one anetc sonata II and I want to buy one 8800 gtx. In first topic I have seen that the 8800 gtx fits in antec sonata I. As it is the difference between anetc sonata I and antec sonata II? The 8800 gtx fits in antec sonta II?

Thanks for the answers and pardon by my badly English.

P180 is fine for GTX, you just need to take out the upper drive cage. Put in the optional cooling fan for that bay for extra cooling goodness.

Actually the GTX fits quite nicely with the top drive cage installed. I kept it in because it's empty and I thought it might help "tunnel" air from my front 120mm fan directly to the card. Got about 1/2" clearance. 🙂

my friend brought his 8800GTX over and it fit my lian li PC-75 case perfectly.

a minor problem is that since the card is so long, it stretches out to where the memory slots are, so you should put the memory in first/take it out or whatever before putting in the 8800GTX.

Thanks for making a list.
I've done measurements on my Centurion 5, so far I've measured that the 8800GTS will be a close fit, but will probobly fit, and I think people on the forum have done it already so the GTS works. As for the GTX, I haven't heard of anybody saying that it did fit. I did the measurements and my ide cable would get in the way and if that wasn't in the way then the hard drive cage would be in the way. Just some info on the case.

nice...just what i was looking for...

removing a hard drive cage does NOT help me since my pcie slot sits lower than normal

That link you have posted has an image of two 8800GTX's fitting inside of the Centurion 5, idk if that's right though. I'm pretty sure my case can fit it if I remove the hard drive bays.

Installed 8800 GTX in my Lian LI PC-7 Plus with room to spare. Additional 8800 GTX for SLI looks to be impossible without removing the hard drive cage.

I have a P180 and I did not have to remove the drive cage. I just had to remove the drive mounting bracket. I don't think it would be possible to fit a drive in there anyway but I was able to leave the cage in, FWIW.

Hey, if anyone want to know if it fits in an old Addtronics full tower they can send me their card. I promise to send it back afterwards. 🙂
