Sorry, but Apocalypse23 have the eVGA 8800 GTS. 8800 gtx is longer than 8800 gts.

Thanks.

I just reexamined my Sonata II case, the GTX should just about fit with a few cms of gap...It should work fine for you. The GTX is 10.5 inches long.

Thermaltake Matrix VX fits 1 card with the HDD rack in place.

SLI would require removing the rack.

Dude, you have NO idea how great you made my day. I got a die grinder at work that I wouldnt think twice using on my case to fit the 8800 GTX in. But if you got it in BARELY, thats all that matters and I dont have to tear the guts out of my computer just for that!

btw, does the edge of the card touch the HDD cage at all, or is it just THAT close?

I have a BFG 8800GTS that fits perfectly in a Lian-Li V1000.

On the other hand, my new Corsair CMPU-HX620 barely fits in the case. The PSU compartment is the biggest weakness of the Lian-Li V1000.

I have a GTS in a Solo. It fits comfortably if I don't install a hard drive in the uppermost hard drive slot. I'm sure a GTX would fit comfortably also. And there is still room for 3 hard drives should you heed them.

Don't suppose anyone besides me still uses a classic praetorian, I'd like to know the odds of a GTS fitting in it. A guy can hope :)

First time I've seen this thread, but yes, it fits with a bit over 1cm to spare. I'm not sure why it has a double asterisk next to it; the drive cage is not removeable but the GTX is clear of it.

Well, I just installed my GTX. As it was, the end of the card was touching the HDD cage. This may have been because I should have adjusted my motherboard over a tick by loosening the screws, but no big. There is a reason God made channel Lock wrenches. muahahah! my HDD cage didnt stand a chance!

The eVGA 8800GTX measures 10.5 inches X 4.37. I use Cooler Master Centurion cases that the cases have 12 inches of clearance. THere is lots of space for the card. I get better chipset and video card cooling with Cooler Master + an extra 80mm fan than with my lian li that is sitting empty now. I think I paid 29.00 for the coolermaster.

I have had my 8800 GTXs in an Antec Nine Hundred Gamer case & now they are sitting in a Coolermaster CM Stacker. It was tight in the Antec but its very roomy in the Coolermaster.
