This is so wrong, I am forced to wonder if you are being deliberately disingenuous, or merely parading your ignorance. We were certain (the math was strong bro) there were other planets orbiting other stars, we just could not prove it. Until...we did.
But...if you'd tone it down a bit and comprehend my point, you'll understand why I used that.
Obviously, we're limited because of the limits of our instruments. For example, we can't go back or forward in time, because...wait for it...we have no time travel device. If we had a time travel device, we wouldn't be limited to the present.
Go figure.
This is easy to understand. Of course the singularity has always existed, because as far as our instruments dictate, that's "to the best of our knowledge".
Once we have instruments that hurdle this, the 'eternal singularity' will be relegated to the dustbin of history, like other disproven theories, like the Steady State theory.
