I'm not sure what you're saying, but if the implication is that any of those exceed cinnamon rolls, well... been a while since I stoned me a heretic.

The trouble with carrot cake (have you ever made it?) is that it's FULL of OIL! Add a frosting on top of that and you are in calorie city.

Banana bread? Relatively healthy, especially the way I make it (5 kinds of nuts and I make tiny crispy cookies out of it, not a loaf).

And Cheesecake is the best type of cake.
I guess maybe. I make a German Cottage Cheese Cake that's low calorie (made with cottage cheese) and it's delicious.

The most fabulous cake I ever had was given to our company by our client at the time, American Express. It was really gigantic and very high end made by a cake specialty company. We bought a similar one for our mother for a grand birthday some years later. Unexcelled chocolaty goodness.

1) It's okay for a dessert to be decadent. It's better to have something delicious and enjoy it in moderation than to eat more of something that isn't so good.

2) It's not hard to replace oil and butter in baking with healthier and less calorie-laden fat substitutes. Applesauce is a great replacement for oil, especially in moister and denser desserts like carrot cake and fruit muffin. If a recipe calls for a cup of vegetable oil switch out 4 ounces of oil for 4 ounces of applesauce and it saves 1000 calories. While not too successful in light and airy chiffon cakes in a carrot cake you'll never notice the difference.
