What about I don't buy a sub or a sub amp? With that being said, how do the Adire comps know they are supposed to take care of the low end? I assume you tweak some setting to tell it to send all the lows to the comps?

The included crossover handles that. The low end cutoff would be handled by the amp. The crossover (The included one) will send i *think* from 3500 hertz up tot he tweet, from there down to the mid.

Don't not buy a sub.
You can run your coaxils off the powered head unit, and then get a little amp for the sub.
Save money using less expensive amplifiers and coaxil drivers, but don't skip out on the sub.

Thats one point we agree on!! A sub is very important to really get the low end.

How come it took a few posts for someone to stop me! Your audio spidey senses should have gone off! Ok we are back on the adire shiva sub. Still have the same predicament. Choosing amps that are not JBL :)
