I guess if you want to go into Endgame not knowing anything about the likely savior of the day you can, but should you? I don't think so myself. You can also by that logic skip Ant Man or any other movie leading up to it. It's possible to get the gist of things without seeing Capt Marvel, but if you're a fan of the series why would you? Plus it's actually a decent movie, with several laugh out loud moments that I won't mention, plus I don't know how to spell Flerken.
This is all your opinion. If someone has little interest in the movie apart from whether it's necessary to see this to understand aspects of Endgame, which I still stand by the statement that
it is not, then consider that some may not be interested in the movie.
Frankly, I'm looking more forward to April with Shazam!, Hellboy, and Endgame, but also you get to add in the second season of Cobra Kai releasing a couple days before Endgame!
Did you actually see the movie to pass judgement, or are you guessing?
Yes, I saw it on Thursday. I invited a friend of mine who's arguably far more tolerant of bad movies than I am, and he even seemed less than enthused by it. Expressed how it wasn't bad, but would likely not watch it again. That seems to be a rather common remark about the movie.
