Canon A40 Digital Camera $249.98 + tax

Officemax has it for $299.98.
Make it $249.98 by $50 off coupon.

Two days ago, they had a free offer (free 64Mb CampackFlash card) with A40, but it seems gone now.
But there is a "free offer" icon in its ad. So you can call them whether the free offer is available.

in fact, there are at least two $50 off $250 coupons around, one expires 6/6, the other expires on 7/15.

Here's a link to the Canon A40.

i dont know if it's just me but that doesnt point me to the camera... and if i search for the camera it doesnt find it... 😕

[edit] nm found it 🙂 [/edit]

pretty good price for a canon A40. The canon S30 and S40 are one of the best in the market... And the A40 did inherit some of the goodness 🙂

Is that an online only coupon or in store as well?
EDIT

n/m...called omx and found out you have to register to get their coupons through email and they are online only and i told em about the stupid typo on their site - in the header it says 2.4 MP and in the details it says 2.1 MP neither of which is right LoL - it's a 2.0 MP camera from the reviews I read...which are GREAT btw...im gonna go get one today...and there's a good deal on PNY compact flash cards at best buy - $59.99 - im gonna get a couple of those too 🙂 thanks for the post 😉

EDIT AGAIN

oh ya and they took off the little free item link sometime this morning b/c it was there when i checked it out last night at about 3 AM...and now, 11 AM and it's gone...they caught on 😛

(done editing, promise!) hehe

Now, I haven't much experience with PMing, but couldn't you PM here first, and then use the 50 off 250, making it 200ish? Or PM here and grab 2$ worth of something else...

Anyone know if this will work? Will OfficeMax accept a PM from an internet retailer? Will they let you use the coupon after the PM?

According to this page on the Officemax site, etailers are included in PM. Only snag may be that they include shipping (Which all of the cheaper sites seem to gauge on..). However, their pm page says that if shipping info isn't supplied (And assuming they don't go check) they add 5$ for shipping by default, which still works quite well...
Think I'll give it a try...
EDIT

The PM worked! They included the shipping of the other site in the PM which made it work a bit less well, but there's still a 33$ dollar credit coming to me!

My grand total w/tax had been 270.60
Subtracting 33.03 I'm getting the camera for 237.57, including next day shipping and tax (Possibly less... I should think I owe less tax now)
With a bit more searching for a good online PM, I daresay someone could beat this.

I just bought this camera from Amazon for 284.99 with free super slow shipping, no tax, and a free 32mb card. I am not sure what turns out to be the better deal though... But, I think they are out of stock at Amazon now.

But the coupon isn't for the item, thus it shouldn't be considered in the item price. As an example, suppose you bought this camera and something else that cost 300, then applied the coupon. If you then PMed, would the coupon still apply to the camera rather than the other item? I take the coupon/rebate inclusion bit to only apply to item specific coupons or rebates (And I'm not really sure if this counts as either a coupon or a rebate. It involves no coupon code, and doesn't get applied until the very last step of checkout).
Even if they don't see it that way, I think I can make a pretty good case for getting the PM. And even if that doesn't work, I'm still getting the camera for a good price.

I used to work at OMX and we didn't take internet price matches because they don't have a "physical store." Now things have become a lot more strict, so they defintely won't take internet price matches.

They say that they will take internet price matches (They say so explicitly, and even have a pricematch form to fill out for ecommerce sites).
Their pricematch policy is here and has the link to the form

The PM works =)

My price prior to this (Including tax) was $270.60.
This brings the total cost (Including the free next day shipping and tax) to $237.57!
If they readjust the tax it could even be around $3 less than that.
Should have mine when I get home today
😀
