Unless it's winter, then when the polar bears and seals get thickest.... :)

(ok, Winnepeg doesn't get polar bears and seals, but that's only because even they know better) :p

Oh yes, another thing about Canada... their Canadian Tire stores (like our Sears I guess) sells hockey equipment. I find that extremely funny... they love our hockey... err their hockey. ;)

Heh, it's funny.

Winnipeg: summer | winter | summer | winter...

Vancouver: summer -> summer/fall -> fall -> fall/spring -> spring -> spring/summer -> summer... :)

I've never been to Winnipeg, but I've always imagined that's where all the Hosers congregate. Not the Bob and Doug McKenzie kind, but the kind depicted in the movie Fubar! :D

My apologies to Winnipagans? Winnipegites? Winnipegonians? Winnies?

Hey we have a bunch of that Canadian Tire money sitting around in a drawer at home, do they still use that stuff? It is kind of worthless here in Virginia.

London? Well, it's a nice quiet place, but I kinda find it a bit slow. And it's a little conservative for my tastes. Mandarin is a big buffet chain, but it is sort of Canadianized Chinese food.

I live in Toronto. It's much more lively here (ie. not as laid back as London). And it has MUCH better Chinese food. ;) (But if you really like it, Mandarin is here too. :p) I believe a couple of surveys in the last few years have concluded that Toronto has the most cultural diversity IN THE WORLD.

The problem in Toronto is that it's so damn big - takes a long time to drive out of town, and the traffic sucks. Plus I think it's the most expensive city in Canada (although it's cheaper than most large US cities).

Montreal is nice - best party town and it has very cool cultural stuff. Outside of downtown though some people don't like English speakers as much. It is a very inexpensive city and the drinking age is 18.

Vancouver is VERY laid back for a big city. Rains a lot in the winter, but it is so close to so much outdoor stuff. It's also expensive though and the traffic also sucks there, although not as bad as Toronto.

Calgary is OK, but although it is a relatively large city, it's has the feel of a smaller city. Fine for some people but as you may have guessed, I prefer metropolitain centres.

Whenever we walked around the city or a mall or something everybody was just going about their business.

I think I'm going to move to Canada. Seriously.

If you think London is Nice and layed back you should visit Halifax on the East Coast. Very nice and great vacation spot...

I just sounded like I sell vacations...

we also went to a local park and this chinese restaurant called mandarin.

OMFG THAT PLACED PWN3D!!!! soooooo much food. and the dessert choiceswere off the hook!

we also went to the closeby beach on one of the lakes... it was overcast but still really nice.

we also went to the downtown library.

so yeah, things i noticed about canada (or, more specifically, london, ontario):

1. lots of malls
2. lots of strip joints and adult video stores (very obvious too... no hiding it from the kiddies)
3. really nice people
4. lots of TIM HORTONS!!!

And the best part about Ontario is that its like that every where!!

Alot of Americans are scared to come to Canada 'cause of SARS, West Nile and Mad Cow. Maybe it's because the American media only shows the 3 hospitals that force people coming in and out to wear masks. So naturally, the public thinks the whole city is in a panic attack and wearing masks.

Anyways, here's some info about Toronto:
- 4th or 5th largest city in N.America
- Yonge St. is the longest street in N.America
- CN Tower is the tallest free standing building in the world (although Australia is trying to build a taller one)
- I believe it's the only city to have 2 wrestlemania's? I could be wrong. lol
- It's the most multicultural city in N.America and maybe even the world. (you see it all here: chinese, filipino, indian, portugese, jamaicans, italians etc)
- Home of the best (ok i'm pushing it) NBA team (RAPTORS)

Here in Kitchener, we have to play 20 questions just to get into the urgen care clinic thanks to the SARS thing over in Toronto. Everywhere you go they have their thing. In Sydney, Australia, there was a Menengitis season. They determined what kind of a year it was by the number of menegitis deaths - EVERY YEAR!!!!! That and they almost let my little girl die when she was 6 weeks old because nobody wanted to look at her at night. They didn't even give her a place to lie down, my wife had to hold her for hours before they told her to go home. Then at 8 AM they called and asked us to come back. When we did, they immediately put her in an ambulance and drove her to the Westmead Children's Hostpial. That is the most incompetent medical care system I have encountered. Privately funded paitents are billed more than people on medicare for the same exact treatment, etc. That is one of the reasons we came to Canada. HEALTH CARE!!!! I don't mind the higher taxes when I know I get something for it!

come up to ottawa one day. not as big as toronto-only like 800,000 people but i find the people friendlier, a very clean city, very safe ( only 1 murder this whole year) and the nightlife rocks. cultural diversity is huge here too.

Maybe on the NBA team... but multiculturally? I doubt it. I've been to NYC a few times, and although it is diverse, it's nowhere near the diversity of Toronto.

Finally someone mentions a location east of Montreal! Halifax rocks! Well...I suppose it doesn't 'rock' but it's ok.

Just do a search on google... all the sites point to Toronto.

Heres one.
