Hmm.... Gimme she numbah. 🙂

Oh great... I'm probably gonna end up changing member status in a thread talking about me getting laid.....

There are several of us in the Tri-city area (Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge.) N8Magic helped me alot when I was looking at moving to this area. So I owe him a beer or whatever one of these days.

I've lived in Southern Ontario my entire life, the last 12 years of which I've lived downtown Toronto. I've been to lots of different places and cities, and I really feel like there are few that can match Toronto's generally peaceful feeling/mood.
It's a fantastic city, especially in the summertime.

How is Montreal? I heard it's supposed to be a pretty cool place to party. My cousin and some friends might be going there for Canada Day, and I'm thinking of taking the drive up for the helluvit. I got some vacation days to use up anyways.

Edit: w00t! PLATINUM BABY~!

Montreal is great in the summer. Plenty of fun festivals. Much more European in feel than Toronto and the people generally dress better plus there are better places to eat.

Montreal is pretty bilingual but you may run into the odd person or two that doesn't speak English.

Drinking age in Quebec is 18 and they're reasonably lax about it.

I went to Vancouver B.C. several years back to see Pink Floyd and I felt the same way.

bah, you've gone to the dark side 😛

Altho, I must say, North Carolina really sounds attractive after living in the winters of Canada. My dad always wanted to move down there.

That's nice of you to compliment us Canadians. 🙂

I notice when i go to the U.S. it feels like a different world to me. I've only been to a few cities there. I'm sure it's the same when Americans visit Canada. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. Just know that prices will be higher here if you live out here and we have high taxes. Other than that it's great.

What winters? In Vancouver we get warm rain, slightly cooler rain, cooler still rain, a little warmer rain, warm rain. The cycle of Vancouver seasons!
j/k It does'nt rain everyday...at least it's not raining today anyway🙂

You being sarcastic??

hehe...j/k. I haven't been up there in a long time so I was too little to remember how nice people were. I do remember having tons of fun tho...and have been wanting to go back and visit for a while now. Isn't the drinking and gambling age in certain parts 19+? Hehe...now we all know why I really wanna visit. 😛

depends which province, B.C. it's 19 for both. Alberta is 18 for drinking, not sure about gambling though.

Yep yep... we're all nice up here... usually.

If these guys think the people in Southern Ontario, i.e. Toronto, are laid back, wait until you've been out west. I used to live in West Vancouver and the people out there are totally cool and easy going.

I've lived here in Canada for twenty years, originally from England. I live in Guelph, which is about 100km west of Toronto. I love Canada, and I'm not suprised at the reactions from a lot of you. We Canadians are the nicest people on earth.

We'd love to have all you Americans up for a visit anytime!
