Canadians are really, really nice

I was in Canada for the long weekend and it was so awesome. Everybody there is really polite. laid-back and respectful. We went to a movie and it was the normal "young punk" crowd but everybody was just real chill and nobody was being loud or obnoxious. Whenever we walked around the city or a mall or something everybody was just going about their business.

I think I'm going to move to Canada. Seriously.

I'm from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and some people don't know we even exist or think we're part of Canada. That's harsh.

I live in Wisconsin and it's like that here. There are many parts of the US that are like that; don't assume that just because where you live is crap that the rest of the US is the same way. Get out of the big cities and you will find some really nice people.

Except when they get liquored up. At Buffalo Bills football games, A disproportionate number of arrestees are Canadian.

we watched bruce almighty at one of the malls (is it just me or does canada have a disproportionate number of malls??)

we also went to a local park and this chinese restaurant called mandarin.

OMFG THAT PLACED PWN3D!!!! soooooo much food. and the dessert choiceswere off the hook!

we also went to the closeby beach on one of the lakes... it was overcast but still really nice.

we also went to the downtown library.

so yeah, things i noticed about canada (or, more specifically, london, ontario):

1. lots of malls
2. lots of strip joints and adult video stores (very obvious too... no hiding it from the kiddies)
3. really nice people
4. lots of TIM HORTONS!!!

Cool. You were just down the street from me when you went to the Library.

Which beach did you go to? Port Stanley or Grand Bend?

There is a great 1/4 mile drag race track at Grand Bend.

We have a lot of malls here. 🙂

We only have 5 strip joints as city council has limited the number of licences available.

We also love our donuts too. Although Krispy Kreme is comming soon here.

You should also check out SpringBank Park when summer gets here. It is very nice. Lots of geese though.

Heh, I felt exactly the same way when I visited toronto. Would love to move there, cant stand the people around here.

I been fishing at the same lodge in Northern Manitoba for 15 years and I never had any probs with the Canadians. In fact the gladly accept my 4,000 bucks every year 😀

Ausm

Glad you enjoyed yourself! Next time though...come on over to the West coast...you'll never go back to TO😉🙂

So that's where Grand Bend is!! Near London!! With St Thomas thinking of turning into a 1/8mi track and Cayuga/TMP getting crappier, it looks like Grand Bend is our only choice.

mucman was in Toronto for a bit just recently, and he could'nt believe how clean it was! He said the hyways are just crazy though!

But with a lot more open land, it's easy to have a hyway system like that! Throw a few rivers and mountains into the mix and you'd find out what it's like to drive in Vancouver!🙂

I went up to Canada for the weekend as well (Cambridge, ON) and I got laid. So uh yeah, I kinda like it too. 🙂

Might be going back at the end of June actually.
