Estimates range from 1.2 million to 2+ million. Figure for each person there, at least another 10 would have liked to be there but couldn't or wouldn't go for one reason or another. I still can't find any decent estimates. If you have a link I'd like to read it (I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just interested in seeing some estimates).
Even assuming 20 million supporters, though, you wouldn't have a silent majority. 20m spread out over 400+ electoral districts just equals a third party that will get shut out from winning any seats in our first-past-the-post electoral system.
